I discovered that it’s quite special to express a kind gesture to someone you pass by on a street or to a relative or friend. A little act of kindness produces an everlasting wave. So when we help someone, it inspires them to help others as well. I also understood that it can be challenging to make an marginally different person feel welcome and comfortable in your company.

With the videos we watched and the speaker from Italy that talked about his experience with us, I was reminded that peace and a positive mindset gives us great opportunities. Moreover, our behaviour toward one another should be positive because it will cause a domino effect and spread kindness in the world which is why we should always watch what we say and do so we never hurt anyone's feelings.
-Lara
~ Jordan 🇯🇴

ENVIRONMENT IS GREATER THAN WILLPOWER!

The main lesson that resonates with me the most is that if we are surrounded by people who show love and kindness, we will surely become better. Because kindness and chaos have a domino effect. It is not just our willpower that helps but the environment of which we are part of.

So what are we waiting for? Let's evaluate our environment and try to become better than yesterday! <3

Ronald Gabriel Teng
Philippines

The video that we watched last session really struck me as it showed how one action of kindness could create a chain of such an act. With this I realized that for some people, doing good deeds come out naturally. They may even actually do it without them realizing. However for some people, they still need a little push. And I think that the best way to convince them to be kind is for others to show them kindness as well. I do admire people who are very generous despite they themselves have almost nothing to have. With the session, I reflected that kindness is indeed important towards peace.

Sophia Clarisse Cruz
Philippines

This session really helped me realize just how true the phrase “what comes around, goes around” one of the people from the breakout room that I was with also pointed this one out and I just want to expand more about it.

This phrase was very much seen with how a certain butterfly effect was created with how the kindness of the man was passed on from the boy and to the elderly woman and so on, it showed that kindness will pay you back in the most unexpected way and time, like the one in the video where the people who helped someone encouraged the others to help another and it came back to the man who first started the act of kindness, so it shows that even just a little bit of kindness does go a long way because you can never go wrong with being kind to others.

Xyrille
Philippines

SESSION 4 (A Simple Act of Kindness Creates an Endless Ripple)

A peace ambassador is both an honor and a responsibility. It requires us to have certain characteristics because we are protagonists of specific actions of peace. Actions that moves this world to become a better place and its people to hold hands with one another. I believe that among the characteristics of a peace ambassador, having an initiative is the one we need the most because in order to make a change we must act on it first. After all, nothing will happen if we keep fearing action. So, we must realize that even the simplest action can create a big impact in in our life and on others as well. Hence, we must always remeber that the simple acts of kindness that we do can create an endless ripple of kindness which may lead us to a more peaceful and harmonious world.

Maria Veighda Angela A.
