Description of Process: When gathering all the pieces needed for this project, I completed a hand map graphic organizer and then gathered a few of my free-writes from class. After looking at the examples provided by Dr. Varga, reading over the mentor texts, and editing my pieces, I designed them and made them more personalized before publishing. Each of the writing pieces are connected to memories and emotions from the past, therefore they were very fun and easy to write. 

Connecting Emotions & Memories to Writing: I have never really enjoyed writing. However, I liked connecting memories to my writing for this assignment. I made me happy to think back when I was little and the memories made at my grandparent's house. Describing my experience at Bonnaroo in my 6 room image poem brought me back to the farm and was fun to try and remember what all was happening around me! The graphic organizer helped me organize my memories into categories based on emotions. This was good for deciding which one to write in detail about. I enjoyed creating the 6 room image poem the most because I was able to travel back in time to that very moment and describe it in detail for my reader. After getting started, it was very easy to describe and the words just came to me! My least favorite genre to write about was the short essay, only because I don't particularly like to write a lot.

Writing Strategies/Mentor Texts: When teaching writing with emotions in my future classroom, I could use mentor texts containing examples of emotions like in the mentor text A Step From Heaven to show the students real-life examples of how writers describe how they are feeling in that moment. 

Review of Technology Tool: I have actually used Padlet a couple of times before choosing to use it for this project. I love Padlet because there are many different ways to display information. The designs and fonts are fun to play around with. I also like how Padlet allows you to add links, pictures, videos, and much more!
