Healthier environmental countries most often have the healthiest people too. Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Norway and Japan are the top five countries on earth for 2017. The U.S. is much farther down the list at #27. This is a perfect example of a current invading species. The Cane toad, invading parts of Australia and Hawaii, is adapting very quickly to lower temperatures. The U.S. ranked 27th in the Environmental Performance Index for the calendar year of 2017. This took statistics from 180 countries, so the U.S. number seems impressive.
