Girls were required to search for marshes, empty fields, and woods for the particular plant materials so they could use them to build houses and fashion household furnishings. Girls needed to know what where types of plants grew, in what seasons these plants grew and what they looked like. Boys practiced hunting, marksmanship(shooting), chasing. Boys also needed to learn the terrain so they would know where to find prey.
