Wahunsunacock- leader of the confederacy in 1607 when Jamestown was settled.

Powhatans were also known as the Verginia Algonquians.
One of the chiefs was Opchanacanough who was Pocahontas´ uncle.

Boys Education was different from Girls Education. Girls were required to search for marshes, empty fields, and woods for the particular plant materials so they could use them to build houses and fashion household furnishings. Girls needed to know what where types of plants grew, in what seasons these plants grew and what they looked like. Boys practiced hunting, marksmanship(shooting), chasing.
