Spain and Portugal share share the Lberian Peninsula and also to the south southwest is the Pyrenees Mountain range. In some places the peaks can get over 1,524 metres high! the highest point being 3,404 metres.<br><br>There are two main island groups&nbsp; of Spain, the Baleric Islands located 193km away from Barcelona and the canary islands in Continental Africa. The tiny enclaves Ceuta and Melita also form spain.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Most people when they think of sanish sport they think of soccer but there is actually many Traditionl sports with alot of history behind them:<br><br>Caliche murciano (caliche from Murcia): This sport is where a wooden cylander (caliche) is put on the ground and is needed to be nocked over by a peice of metal called Moneo. Usually, coins are placed on top of the top of the calichie this is because, however far from the coins are from the caliche&nbsp; determines how many points you get.&nbsp;<br><br>Harri-jasotze: This is a sport, Traditional to Basque Country in which stones of all different shapes and sizes and weight are lifted. There are four categories that based on the weight and the shapes of the rock:&nbsp; cylindrical, rectangular, cubic or spherical.&nbsp;<br><br>Loita galega (Loita from Galicia): This is a sport where you have to take down your aponant without hitting them, you have to take them down with only using our skills. There is one other form of this sport where where a mand and a Woman, this was actually thought to be the the first form of flirting.<br><br>Valencian pilota: This is a sport, centuries old,&nbsp; which two opponents or two teams comete in the game by throwing a ball against a wall with their hands, while the other team/oponent uses the ball’s momentum to return the serve in order to stay in the game. There’s allot of controversy about this game because this game is allot like Basque pelota.<br><br>Picota: Picota means a peice of tapered wood, This is a sport from Aragon that reminds&nbsp; people of baseball.This sport is a indervidual game, The player has to pick up the “picota”&nbsp; from the ground with the help of a bat and then hit it with the bat before it hits the ground. This process is repeated three times and the player who hits the picota the furthest wins.<br><br>Tiro de reja (plowshare throw): This is a throwing sport where whoever throws throw the plowshare the futhest and with the best form, wins.&nbsp;<br><br>Vela Latina Canaria: This is like sailing, there are two boats that are racing against each other, whitch the crew of these oats need to user there technical skills to take the advantage of the wind to win the race.<br><br>Verdadera destreza: This ancient discipline could be put into the category "European material art", this is a form of of fencing that was based of modernizing types of military fencing that was used around 16th and 17th centuries.<br><br><br><br><br>&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
