I have personally not adopted a young boy or an orphan of any kind into my family. Although I have not had the same experience as Aleena, I learned that even though he could be annoying and obnoxious at some times, it was always nice knowing that they had gave him a place to call home. i believe that adoption is a beautiful thing that families should be encouraged to do.

But even though it is quite irritating, ill always love them either way, just like Aleena was with Hakeem and his actions.

The little girl wanted to leave the wall alone, while the lady had something else in mind. In the end, the painting lady ending up painting a memorial for the little girls cousin. I learned that good can come out of little acts of kindness, even if there is conflict involved.

I have went to summer sleep away camps as well. Although I have not been a counselor, I have had some odd, fun, boring, dramatic, and exciting experiences as well. The article taught me that when everyone gets along, no matter the situation, everything is much easier. The tension between the green and blue cabins shows throughout the story due to the narrator and Brooke being split. This scene is effective and creates suspense for the reader during the rest of the article.

This conversation between the camp counselors, Brooke, and the narrator talk about their experience with "Oak Creek monster." Lots of people form each cabin begin to ask lots of questions to Brooke due to her apparently taking a picture with the so called "monster." They believed this due to her half-sister witnessing this incident and having proof on her phone, although she did lie and not tell the group. I can tell that the narrator and Brooke are going from enemies, to becoming quite close. This would be for the reason that she referred to her in front of the whole camp as her "sister," instead of her, "half-sister." Brooke then, later in the story, puts her phone number into the narrators phone in order to keep in touch; showing a sense of bonding between the two sisters.

Natasha wakes up the narrator at six in the morning, just to get the information that Brooke is nowhere to be found. Terry's father in the story would suffer horrible flashbacks and have hallucinations in public or on his own. He would talk to himself, shake, and look terrified.

He begins to feel worthless and doubtful about himself because high school reflects how his father thinks of him. Ronney is well known to be a very hard worker and smart kid at school who gets great grades and does all of his work that he has to. When Ronney gets back home, his father shows no emotion and locks himself away from his family. But whenever Ronnie gets a slight bad grade on a quiz or test whatever that might be, his father lashes out at him and creates tension. The scene really showed how Ronney was emotionally very hurt by this experience and started off on a bad note with the relationship with his father.

In this particular scene, we get to see the relationship between Ronney and his mom. His mom after he had an obvious rough day left him a long and encouraging text that left Ronney feeling a lot better about his self-esteem and in general. After the constant fights that Ronney's father and his mom often have, Ronneys mom is always the one to apologize and tell him how much she loves him. His dad struggles with drug use, leaving him in a very depressed state which is extremely hard for Ronney to often witness. Ronney further explains how his mom really is the reason that he's kept on going in life and stayed positive throughout all of his father's breakdowns and fights with his mother.

In this certain scene, we can tell that Ronney is emotionally invested in his friends and is the most happy when he is surrounded by them. He has a serious conversation with them and they are actually very genuinely nice to him about his personal problems that he just expressed to his friends. Ronney admitted that his parents have been having some issues and it has caused him to be distant from his friends which he apologized for. He realizes that his friends make him happiest and he shouldn't take that for granted. His friends are also the reason that he's able to gather up all the animals that have escaped from the zoo so far, without them he wouldn't have anyone to help him out and he would be all alone.

In many scenes from my novel, it is apparent that Ronnie and his father do not have a good relationship due to his drug use and anger problems that leave him to lash out on his family all the time. I am very fortunate that I cannot relate to Ronney in this situation but I can understand his pain and feel empathy for him.

In this scene in my novel, Ronneys friends are invited to dinner at his house with his mom and dad. The situation was already very awkward considering that Ronney had told all of his friends about the issues him and his parents have had already. After they got pizza and socialized for a bit, a lot of room and Mina and George had heard a knock at the door. Mina opened it without hesitating and immediately regretted her decision when the man and the door were dressed in all black and had been apparently “stalking” Ronney for about 3 months now. A few encounters before this one, the man came up to the door and Ronney was at it when the man clearly had some type of knife in his pocket. Considering that Ronnieys father sometimes gets very violent when he fights, he knew what to do in the situation and stayed calm. This showed how even though he had very awful experiences with his father, they taught him how to defend himself in situations like these. He has emotionally also gotten better over time by being with his friends who care the most about him.

In this specific part in my story, Ronney convinces his dad to get therapy after his mental problems get out of hand. Instead of being mad about his father, he realizes that all he needs is his help to get better. With a little help from his mom, they were able to get to further help him get better especially after the incident where he shot himself in the shoulder due to his suicidal thoughts. This scene showed how Ronney overcame the obstacle of having a horrible father figure, and being the better person by showing that he cares about his well-being. This scene showed how Ronney really grew as well as developed as a character while not letting his emotions get the best of him.

In another scene from my story, Ronney makes amends with his parents and puts all of his problems aside. He and George both find out that they have feelings for one another and fall in love. These scenes both showed how Ronney eventually got emotionally better overtime and was able to keep his cool thanks to the people in his life that made every second count. On page, 351, “Then we walked out of school together. Life is good again.”
