I dreamt that I got a 99.5% in Humanities (literally just Social Studies I’m not sure why they call it Humanities) instead of my normal 99.9%!!! I woke up from that horrendous nightmare, checked my grades and was relieved to find that I still had my amazing, beautiful, gorgeous, love of my life 99.9% in Humanities. The other day I was doing my homework peacefully, not trying to cause any ruckus, bored out of my MIND so I decided to check my grades because I’m pretty sure everyone does that when they’re bored. That ended up being the BIGGEST mistake of my life. I clicked on the button that read ‘grade book’ and found out that my worst nightmare had unfortunately, come true. I couldn’t believe my eyes! There in front of me, I saw….. A 99.5% GRADE IN HUMANITIES ALL BECAUSE OF THIS (excuse my language) STUPID, UGLY EXTRA HOMEWORK THAT WE GOT BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE (literally everyone except for 7 people) KEPT TALKING!!! I wept and cried a huge river, my tears flooding the city. I was so upset I ended up watching S3E22 of Miraculous, Cat Blanc. That is THE SADDEST episode of Miraculous I’ve ever watched and every time I watch it, I end up crying a lot. I heard that in season 4 there’s another episode called ‘Ephemeral’ and it’s gonna be equally if not more sad. I’m not excited. (EW IM REREADING THIS AND IM GROSSED OUT. NOT ME LIKING MIRACULOUS…. THAT LITERALLY ONLY LASTED FOR A WEEK BUT STILL. GROSS.) Then I ended up deepening my sorrows by listening to blackbear. Not fun either. ALSO, Carol of the Bells is my FAVORITE Christmas song/carol and I’m so mad at Mr. Paulus. HE ONLY GAVE CLARINETS 2 MEASURES OF THE ACTUAL LIKE SONG PART. HE MADE US BE THE STUPID BELLS. Rant over. 11/21/21 New rant. Well not really a rant more of a story and an update. I had a really weird dream last night. So the people who have my Social Studies teacher (so Ian, Miles, Rachelle, Peyton) know that we’re reading this book called Senderos Fronterizos in class right now. Pretty much to sum up the book it about this kid who has a family of migrant workers (and is one himself) and his “journey through life” I suppose. Anyways so in this dream, me, Sasha, my friend Gabe, my friend Sam and my friend Ivan were all migrant workers. So were my 2 sisters (Lili and Amy) and my baby cousins (Owen, Eliza and Blaire), they were all little children workers. My aunt Sarah was the owner of the field I guess you’d say and me, Sasha, Lili, Sam, Ivan and Gabe came up with a game. The game was to see who could walk across the field the fastest without getting caught. I’m pretty sure Sam won but that’s not important. Lili, Sasha, Sam, Ivan and Gabe were all almost to the end of the field but I was still like half way because there was this big gate that stretched across the whole field and my baby cousins were playing on it, one of them started crying and I calmed them down. I’ll draw a map and attach it up above, at least I’ll try to remember. So once I calmed her down I got to the end of the field with all the others. Sarah went inside to go to the bathroom and when she did some border patrol cars showed up on the road to the right side. We all got scared because we were illegal migrant workers and we could’ve gotten deported. I took charge and got everyone calmed down. “Everybody grab a baby, run and follow me,” I said. We all grabbed one of the littles and Lili and Ivan ended up together because there were no other babies and we were doing a “buddy system” sort of thing. The border patrol car had gone away to go to another road and we just started running. We ran through a ton of blackberry bushes and got all cut up. I’m gonna try to explain this the best I can because I can’t really explain it without drawing it. So there was a ledge and around that ledge there were woods and like on the edge of the ledge there were wood planks piled up? If that makes sense at all. There was a road beneath the ledge that cut off because it was a cliff sort of thing. Not a tall cliff but lit was like a 20 foot drop. Anyways so the border patrol cars were down on the road and they were yelling for us so we just hid and told the babies to be quiet. Once they left, me and Sasha bandaged everybody up with the bandages in Sam’s backpack (he was a survival show nerd so he always had like first aid/survival materials) and we decided to sleep there for the night and go farther into the woods the following morning. I don’t really remember much after that except for the fact that we went into a bear cave to sleep, we saw the dragon from Pete’s Dragon and we got shot by the border patrol people. OKAY SO THE UPDATE NOW. I HAVE A 99.9% IN HUMANITIES AGAIN!!! IM SO HAPPY! 11/29/21 I just got my stuff graded and I went to go check to see what my grades were and now I have a C in math!!! I had an A- before so now I’m kinda bummed out :// I think I’m gonna ask Mrs. Walters for extra credit work to make my grade go up. 11/30/21 OKAY SO APPARENTLY THERES SOMETHING WRONG WITH STUDENTVUE AND THAT I ACTUALLY HAVE AN A!! EVEN ASK LUKE HE WAS THERE WHEN MRS. WALTERS SAID IT. Also in science today we had to choose partners for the project and since I’ve already worked with Kyra on a project this year I couldn’t partner with her again so I ended up having to work with an eighth grader :/ he literally never does his work and I’m kinda mad because I had to do everything myself. 12/1/21 Gabe is cheating on Luke with Gio 😔I saw them playing soccer together…. Like I said my coach, Nathan, was running around like a maniac, I didn’t really mind this but in his free time he would be on his phone and barely paying attention to us, and Kristen like I said, hasn’t been there much either and she has been making her group worse and worse. They are horrible thieving creatures that bask in their glory while hamburgers (which are far more superior) sit there looking sad because the strange humans like hot dogs more than hamburgers. Well, most humans but not this one! I shall not be fooled by the hot dogs evil plan! So yeah. I hate hot dogs with a deep, searing hatred that runs deep in my bones. Also, I feel like I need to point out I am not joking I genuinely hate hot dogs for the reasons I just described.

One day she was like “omg guys I like the rock” and then the next day she was like “omg want to see my new boy friend?” *picture of Brent Rivera*, and then the next day she was showing us edits of Carl Azuz telling us she had a crush on him and then the  next day she kissed someones hand, and the next day she accused her sudden girl friend of cheating on her because she was wearing a wedding ring. This was about My friends’ 5th chance with my other friend (her sudden girlfriend) because  My friend, kept cheating. (This whole paragraph is just a joke we have going on so please don’t actually take it seriously😭)

    Ok for my next topic I actually know what I will write about and by the way my name is Rachelle if you didn’t know. I’ve been in this classroom and class period since the day school started. I still have not forgotten that time (the day before thanksgiving break I believe)  where I won a blooket and everyone started looking around cause they had no clue who I was💔. Including someone who I did cross country with for the entire cross country season😔. And finally, and to end all of this i have a huge complaint to my little brother. Every year for Christmas we hang our stockings up in age order, and up he always gets the BLUE one because he always wants the BLUE one and all my other brothers have their own color because they LIKE that COLOR. But this year my brother was putting the stockings up and put the BLUE one in the 5th spot. his goes in the 4TH spot, and mine is the 5TH spot, so I was confused and then I notice the PURPLE stocking is in HIS place, and i’ve had purple for like every single Christmas I can remember. And so I asked him about it and he was like “nobody claimed it when I was setting them up” so I said “oh really so I could go take whatever one I wanted?” And he was like “ya” so I go to grab my mom’s stocking that has Winnie the Pooh on it and he goes “you can’t have that one that’s mom’s” and ummm that literally goes against your own point mr. so my solution was to hide MY purple stocking inside the red one next to it😊. And it’s been like 2 days and he still has not found it.

               Finally thanksgiving. Now some of you will be like “oh, thanksgiving is over!” and I know that but seeing as there was no real news last week, I think it’s okay. So basically, the Canadians celebrated their thanksgiving on October 11th. They are able to have much more time celebrating Christmas than us. I am always sad because the Christmas season goes so fast. So I think we should celebrate thanksgiving at the beginning of November!     First of all, I’ve REALLY missed writing the Real News and also reading all of yours. This is something I look forward to every week! 

    Second, I loved Thanksgiving! I had so much fun with my family, eating food, but most importantly, eating pie and sleeping in!! On my Temperature Checks in Advisory, I always say I struggle with getting out of bed in the mornings. And I know that we’ve been going to school for a long time now, but this is something that I’ve always struggled with. Another thing is that I spent my entire weekend watching tv, sleeping, and eating a lot of food. And when I came back to school on Tuesday, I had to walk around the whole school and go up and down the stairs multiple times. I’m just going to say that I’m not really in shape so…😂 

    And finally, I just finished my volleyball game with my AWSOME coach cough, cough, Mrs. Shores, cough. And although our team is in last place, “We win in our hearts” - Mrs. Shores
    Mrs. Shores makes playing fun, and she’s always encouraging and understanding! You’re the best Mrs. Shores!! So yeah, we lost our first two games, but they were soooo close. It was 23 to 25 both of the first games and then drumroll please, WE WON OUR LAST GAME!!!!! I’m so happy because we haven’t won a lot. But again, “We won in our hearts!” ❤️ And, I think we might have a chance in the playoffs!!

    That was a short segment, but this one will be a little longer. I don’t know if you have, but I’ve noticed all the construction going on on 99E. Right know they’re only working on one road, but when they were working on the others, it took sooo long. The roads were blocked, and all they did was make a little piece of concrete sit in the middle of the road. They are making an arch over the road, and they haven’t even blocked the road because of it. I don’t understand why it takes them long for that, but not for the base of the arch.

Today Thursday the 2nd the fall play group will be performing at the Fine arts Centre. It has been a lot of fun doing the play. We are doing “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” for the play. It is basically about a church that is putting on a pageant and the person who always directs it can’t do it. So, Grace Bradly (or Mother) has to direct it instead. Somehow all the bad kids get chosen as the main parts and it is really hard to put on the show. Anyway, the show turns out to be… (you should probably go see the show to find out the rest). There will be 4 showings, one tonight at seven and 2 more at seven on Friday and Saturday. Also on Saturday there will be a show at 2:00. 


    For me, it is really fun to cook and bake. My favorite thing to bake is biscuits. Especially drop biscuits. The recipe is pretty simple, I don’t think I should get into it much it’s my secret recipe. Some of the stuff in the first paragraph already happened. The first play we did and there at 3 more, 2 at 7:00 one on Friday and another at Saturday. There will also be one on Saturday at 2:00. It has been really fun doing this play. 👍👍👍

    For thanksgiving our family just really had a simple day. Nothing much, me and my family just prepared the thanksgiving meal and ate it. It was really tasty 😋. And that’s my real news👍👍👍

This week has probably been the hardest one this year because we just had close to a week long break from school and I had a week long break from dance. I was not ready for going back to dance this week so I have been really sore. It sometimes it gets to the point that it hurts my legs to walk because they are so tight but it gets pretty normal after awhile so it doesn’t bother me to bad anymore. Usually Thursdays are the worst day because it is the day before Friday and it is the last day of the week that I have dance.

    On that note school hadn’t been as hard to get back into dance but it has been a bit hard. This isn’t connected to break but in PE we are doing this thing call “super stars” and my team doesn’t really talk or give ideas. They all work together but it took us so long just to get ideas out for our team name but we got one and that is what matters. But other than PE, it was a little bit hard to focus in the beginning on Tuesday but by 4th period on Tuesday I was back in the flow of things. 

    Also I’m getting super excited for Christmas. But this year is really hard for me to get gifts, that aren’t going to clean out all my money, for everyone I need to get one for. I get so much of it and I never get time do it because I’m always at either basketball practice, volleyball, or softball practice. Sometimes I even have 2 practices in one night. I usually just stay up really late and finish everything, and my grades are good right now so I think I’m doing ok. I’m honestly hoping though that I’m able to keep up with everything so I don’t have to quit a sport.

    Earlier tonight I had a scrimmage agains the 8th grade boys b team. Not gonna lie it was interesting, we lost. By A LOT but it’s ok because in reality we aren’t always going to be playing people that are almost 6 foot. I made a basket almost at the three point line but it didn’t count in the actual scrimmage, our coaches were running though defense offense drills. Later on in the game though I dived to get the ball that somehow was rolling on the ground and got a really bad court burn. My grandparents flew in from New York to Oregon. We went to stores and it was pretty fun. We went to eat on the last day they were here. Then my grandparents went to Santa Cruz to celebrate thanksgiving. What we were originally going to do for thanksgiving was we were going to go to my uncle's house in Santa Cruz. Sadly that got canceled because we just couldn’t make the trip. Instead we just went to my aunt and uncle's house for thanksgiving. There was a lot of food and it was very yummy. It was very fun until we went home. Then I got bored




    Our second topic is Monday’s. Most people hate Mondays because it’s the first day back at school. In my opinion they are alright because most of the school work is easy but I am really tired on Mondays. I don’t have any after school activities, so I have enough time to get my homework done. Last week we had a break off, but today I have two topics. My break and Pretzels. Let’s first talk about pretzels. Who doesn’t like pretzels? A lot of people, but that is just my opinion. In 2020, 181.13 million Americans consumed pretzels. An Italian monk invented pretzels. It was created in the year 610 A.D. He created them to reward young children for learning their prayers. He supposedly folded strips of bread to resemble the crossed areas of praying children. He called his creation pretiola, which meant “little rewards.” 

    Now, let’s talk about my break. I went over to my uncles house and had a thanksgiving lunch. It was really good! Then, on Saturday, I went to an escape room with a friend. We were so close of escaping. Then, on Sunday, it was my birthday. We went to church, then came home and opened my presents. Then, we went to my grandparents house and had dinner and dessert. 

    This is an additional topic! Last night. Last night I had a scrimmage against the 8th grade boys silver team. (You may have already heard this. Probably from Peyton. She’s on my team!) We of course lost because some of the boys were like 6 feet tall. Probably even taller. But that’s okay! I had to guard a really tall kid and I was at his shoulders or even shorter. All of my team mates were probably on the ground 500 times the entire night. It was fun thought!

    The second thing is I want to talk about my favorite classes. My favorite classes are probably 4th and 7th period, so art and language arts. The reason they are my favorites is because I feel like they are a little more relaxed in the way that I can talk to my friends because in some of my other classes I can barely talk to my friends at all. And another reason those classes are my favorites is because they are kind of fun.

Today we will be talking about how almost every morning I have to run out the door. For me, my mom has to drop my brother off at the high school before dropping me off. Yesterday he was like, 30 minutes early. I feel bad, but at the same time I don’t like having to run to math class. On the first day of school, we tried dropping me off at school first, but my brother had to run to his first period. Even at that, he was still late. Any suggestions?

         My second topic is volleyball. I know I’ve written about this before, but this weeks report is different. I think it was last week that I played a team and we had a certain referee that kept picking on the other team. One of the players on the other team was having a rough day, and was wearing a baseball cap. Not I big deal, or that’s at least what I thought. According to this ref, it was. The wonderful coach took the kids side and told the ref that the kid was having a tough day, and finally the ref let it go. The ref literally rolled her eyes at the coach, also a coworker. I couldn’t believe her. How rude! The next incident was when a different kid on the other team went to serve. She had her sweatshirt tied around her waste. Once again, I thought nothing of it. The ref said “It’s a safety hazard.” This kid had already gotten permission to wear the sweatshirt around her waist. My third thing is that by this time I was pretty mad at the ref. One of my best friends is on that team. Then she started picking on my team. As of now, they all really encourage us to serve behind the line. Some kids have difficulties doing so, and it’s not a big deal. For the kids on my team, she was saying she wouldn’t count points for us if they stepped over the line! UNFAIR! Also, this wasn’t the only time the ref has done this. I have sat in on other games reffed by her and she’s even argued with another coach about it.

Some examples of the smells that Christmas can bring are the fresh smell of the green Christmas tree. Another can be the yummy of gingerbread and Christmas candy’s. It can bring things like presents but the best thing it can bring is spending time with your family and celebrating the Birth of Jesus Christ. 

    Moving on to the SPORT TOPIC we will talk about SOCCER AND BASKETBALL. Let’s start with SOCCER and the English league. The top 3 currently are Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool but this is not determined yet because both Manchester United and Tottenham will play on 12/5 at 6:00 Am. Com’on Man United . The Mexican League is playing there semi-finals on 12/4 and on 12/5. Remember the Timbers they will play on December 4 against Real Salt Lake at 3:30 pm. To finish things up Chile will play Mexico on December 8th at 6:00 pm. Even though it is a friendly match both teams are going to try to get the will in preparation for the World Cup this Summer. If you don’t know what super teeth is, it’s when you have extra teeth that you don’t need. Anyways, that means I couldn’t be able to have the thanksgiving dinner everybody else hade. So if you ask me how my thanksgiving break went, I don’t know because I was hung up on a LOT of drugs and I don’t really remember anything. But my mom said that I sang Christmas songs, I was really groggy, I would be mumbling but fall asleep mid sentence and then wake up saying “I have an idea…” and more. And apparently I FaceTimed 7 people and we when I saw them when we went back to school, I heard I said some weird stuff. But anyways I have to follow a lot of instructions like I can’t do dance, I can’t play my saxophone, I can’t eat certain foods- basically I can’t do anything I like anymore until I’m fully recovered.  



    Before The First Show 
    December 2,3, and 4 are the dates of the middle school play. I am very very VERY nervous not just because I invited a lot of people but because the day of dress rehearsal was a mess. But I’m not going to describe to you how bad it went because it’s just going to freak me and the other drama kids out. But it was bad, but I know we will do great because ( prepare for cringe and quoting high school musical) we are all in this together and the most important part is to have fun! Right?

    After The First Show
    IT WAS AWESOME! Everybody did so great, and everybody had fun, the audience had fun, I hade fun, it was just fun! I can’t wait to do the other shows and to do more stuff like this! Oh and this was my first play and I hade a giant panic attack back stage and I’ve never been so nervous in my life. But otherwise it was easy after my first scene. Plus, come to the show, please! This week we are going back to me talking about random stuff. Yesterday was the first play of 5 that we are doing. It went better than I was expecting. I was kinda terrified because I couldn’t remember my lines an hour before it started but somehow I only messed up one line. I’m playing mother/Mrs. Bradley/Grace (I have way too many names.) 
              The thing that annoyed me the most about the play was MY SHOES! My shoes were way too small and really uncomfortable. Also sometimes I have to run backstage but my shoes are really loud. They are so loud I literally had to take them off to run because otherwise all you hear is clunk, clunk, clunk. 
               Other than that it was really awesome. I had to prevent myself from screaming good job backstage because everyone did absolutely amazing. I love watching from the wings when I’m not onstage because everyone does so great. It was really fun and I can’t wait to do it all over again tonight.

      The play has just ended. I worked really hard on it and had a great time so I’m sad. It went well though. Basically for my part one of the things I had to do was swing and hold a baby. On the very first night somebody (ahemahemahemahem) forgot to put the baby in the manger so I had to run off stage to the prop table and get it which was the most horrifying thing I have ever done. In more baby news, as I said one of the things in my part is that I had to swing a baby. At a manger. Aggressively. Without noticing it at all. This made the audience laugh a lot almost every time which was very hard for me to stay silent and not laugh through because when other people are laughing, I laugh. To say the least at the end of the last show the baby had a bunch dents and black marks all over its head. It was very hard saying goodbye to my deformed son. Another thing I got to do with it was, in the back of the scene that I didn’t talk through, swing it around  extremely aggressively  and do karate with it. On the last show I kinda let loose with this and accidentally hit the window set piece (accidentally). I miss my son. I also slammed him into a manger at least 10 times he might be fully dead at this point.

    More about the play, most of the people I knew and had to spend time with in there were 8th graders, so once the play was over I went to Taco Bell with them. Turns out all old people are cheap and I had to pay for their stuff. It’s fine though cause I got all my receipts signed like they do at Costco. Anyways I had an impulse last night and cut my hair and now it looks really weird and I look like a soccer boy so nobody will every see it.
