Youth in Mission is a school program from Uph College to give blessings to others. We have two service options, personal mission or mission trip, for personal missions we don't leave the Jabodetabek area, and for mission trips, we serve in cities in Indonesia. All of the college students and teachers participate in this program. We serve school children, orphanages, and elderly homes. This program could teach us to be blessed for others and be grateful for what we have. I choose a personal mission for some reason. I filled out the form with my 4 friends and it turned out that we were separated and combined with 2 other groups. At first, I was scared because my other group members were all guys and I was the only girl. But it turned out that it was not like what I imagined. It turned out that we became quite close friends and could work together.

Firstly we went to GPDI Sunday school and there we story told about Jonah in the belly of the fish. We praise, read the bible together, and play games. We have clay art for the bigger class and coloring for the smaller class the clay art we make an octopus, why octopus? Because i searched for a whale but it was so hard and I found an octopus that more way easier. We also play with the kids in there we exchange stories. We also make the student take part in the event such as reading the verse being discussed. We give a student a small give so they want to participate. At last, we take a picture together and say goodbye.

On the second day, I went to Tunas Bangsa school where we brought a student case. We discussed ethics on the internet because we think it is important for students to know about internet ethics so they can be more careful while using the internet. We teach a grade 9 student. We give some examples of internet ethics. We also make some stories and they need to solve it if they are wearing shoes from the stories. The next they we went to one course a bimble and there, we did activities about English words and coloring. We also teach English how to introduce ourselves in English.

The third day we went to a orphanage and play together we also do coloring activities and play puzzles. we also joke with the children there and interact well. Because there we can only eat for 2 hours from that we also go to another orphanage but in that orphanage there are already 3 groups serving and finally we are divided into 2 groups so we are combined with other groups. fortunately we can work together well even though we just met and fortunately the materials we want to bring are quite compatible with their materials.

Lastly we go to sekolah anak terang

There we also taught about the same case study as the one we brought to Tunas Bangsa and fortunately the children there were quite active so we had quite a lot of fun even though I looked nervous but we were all still able to unite and share knowledge and stories with the students.

I feel blessed. I learned to be grateful and I am happy to do a program that helps others like youth in mission. I can get new experiences and stories that I don't know to increase my knowledge. I am happy to be able to add some friends from school and from outside school. I also can get a new lesson, and try to do more better for next year.
