The Russian companies, suppliers of Ikea, engaged in the illegal deforastation are controlled by a politian Evgeny Bakurov.
These companies felled millions of trees on the false pretext they were dead, dying, diseased or damaged – what's known as sanitary felling. They has cut down million cubic metres of wood in protected forests over the last decade.
