Beyond the nuclear family, ceremonial kin connections and patron-client alliances remained the foundation for social groupings, rather than horizontal bonds forged among members of economically dependent social groups. Filipinos shared a common set of principles that emphasized social acceptance as a primary virtue, as well as a shared worldview in which education was the primary means of social advancement.

Philippines' society in the present has a unique blend of diversity and although we have diversity when it comes to beliefs, culture and practices the unique characteristics of Filipinos are still present just like strong family ties, general sense of hospitality, helpfulness characterized by our “bayanihan” culture and generally cheerful. But the downside is that most Filipinos still depends on their parents when it comes to financial support and being independent mostly cannot be seen in families.As per our government, it can be described as brave, gutsy, and has a wise form of system wherein it aims for organization in terms of providing justice and the sovereignty resides in the people. However, 'there is no perfect government' the mismanagement and errors are still present in the current government particularly the handling of current issues. With this, the society as well as the government need to integrate efforts locally and nationally to attain "unity in diversity". As citizens, we need to cooperate and be involved with our government to do their job. If we play our role properly, both society and government hand-in-hand, only then we can create an ideal and progressive nation which our heroes risk their lives for.

For Catholic families, godparents—those to whom care of children is entrusted should the parents die or otherwise be incapacitated—also figure prominently in the kinship network. Members of extended families typically gather for major life events such as baptisms and confirmations (for Catholic Filipinos), circumcisions (for Muslim Filipinos), and marriages, as well as for major religious and other national holidays. Among the religious holidays officially observed in the Philippines are Christmas and Easter, as well as Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

If I were to describe the Present Philippine Government according of what happened under the Duterte’s time up to now is that the country is place under lockdown as we all know, restricting people’s movement to limit the spread of Covid-19, using the military, as well as the police and local officials, to enforce the lockdown. Tens of thousands of people were arrested and often detained in crowded jails and holding centers where they were at increased risk of contracting the virus. Police and local officials targeted vulnerable populations, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and children, and in some cases using public humiliation and cruel treatment.

Poverty unemplyment and environment legislation are the major issues facing the country and these problems have resulted in a large number of filipinos moving overseas for work. We believe social entrepreneurship can help address some issues facing the philippine at the  moment

The relevance of government itself has been under attack with questions raised about its continued relevance as an institution. The declining trust in institutions of government has been decried. With calls for the need to institute reforms if government as we know it is to survive. It is in the situation that the social sphere comes in where citizens participate and engage in the governance process. in the Philippine political context, the power of ruling elite still excessively dominates. Hence, radical reforms of public administration is not only inevitable.
