a) COST
-Cost of security issues - Hackers get access to identifies and target sensitive company data. Such data can include vendor information, bank records, intellectual property and personal data on company management. For example, several retail chains were targeted recently by hackers who stole customer information from their information systems and distributed Social Security numbers and credit card data over the Internet.

-Implementation expenses - Integrating the information system requires good amount of cost in software, hardware and people. Software, Hardware and some other services should be rented, bought and supported. Employees need to be trained with unfamiliar information.

b) TANGIBLE
-Cost Saving Benefits - Information system increases productivity, which reduces workforce decreasing the operational costs. I also improve inventory-ordering efficiencies, which reduces lead-time and results in both decreased inventory holding requirements and costs.

-Better Internal Control - A centralized information storage system allows for improved access controls. Faster reporting, which often translates to real-time feedback, increases accountability and reduces chances for abuse of business assets, fraud or internal theft.

c) INTANGIBLE
-Increased Compliance - Automating a manual process could save time and reduce human errors.

-Employee and Customer Satisfaction - Online systems are more efficient.

a)System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Advantages

1)It produces many intermediate products that can be reviewed to see whether they meet the user’s needs and conform to standards. These can be further worked on if they require tweaks to be made, ensuring that the business gets exactly what it needs

2)Formal review is created at the end of each stage allowing maximum management control.

Disadvantages

1)What may be seen as a major problem for some, end-user does not see the solution until the system is almost complete.

2)Users get a system that meets the need as understood by the developers; this may not be what was really needed for them. There may be a loss in translation

b)Prototyping

Advantages

1.advantage of prototyping can developed quickly and cheap. eg. look and feel of the user interface or to focus on a component part in detail but possibly in isolation.

2.Another advantage of prototying is helping to firm up how the final solution will look and function.Acceptance allows the developer to progress to the next stage and to be focus on what needs to be done.

Disadvantages

1.Prototyping is become smaller, more sustainable and more affordable, they still present an additional expense for company.

2.It help company print part for functional testing prior to production. But despite advances in technology, many prototying systems cant exactly create the design.
