Pants on the ground,

His dignity on the floor.

All I did was pretend

I didn’t witness that horror.

His trust in me died,

But his loyalty never wavered.

I sat in my room and cried

When it was he who was deflowered.

Sleepless nights followed me to the States,

Cursed thoughts brought forth with every mention.

The endless guilt nearly suffocates.
