Slavery in the United States was a system where people, mostly from Africa, were forced to work without pay. They were treated as property and had no freedom. Many worked on farms, especially growing cotton and tobacco, and lived in very harsh conditions. Slavery lasted for hundreds of years until it was finally ended in 1865 after the Civil War. However, its effects, like racism, still impact the U.S. today.

I know that slavery stopped people from doing what they wanted, and took away their free will forcing them to do things for other people and that slaves were usually black. Slaves were usually not treated like humans but rather treated like objects that could be sold, to get rid of slavery it had taken many people.

Slavery was a long stringed and timely historical sorrow. Slavery was of taking the freedom of one and chaining them to the blades of daggers.

Slavery in the United States, back then, was extremely common and awfully inhumane. It was uncommon to find freedom being chained, you were with a strict schedule and beneath certain individuals.

Slavery was all around, not just the United States. Though, thanks to Lincoln, freedom was found. However, slavery can still be subtly identified within present times.

slavery happen because the indigent servant didn't fell it was right to work a number of years with out getting paid so they found a different way slayer with was one of the worst things that happened in this country and a lot of people were hurt by slavery because the person who bought them, legally owned them meaning that there was a lot of harsh punish's. and since back then they were their property they could legally pass them down when they died.
