Hello Valentina, it was a pleasure getting to know you through our online course. I think you did an excellent job at backing your arguments with evidence-based articles. I think you really gave a detailed and well-explained definitions throughout your postings, however I think that having sub-headings in your writings would have drawn the readers’ attention more, especially in your first posting. I personally think sub-headings make the whole journal entry more structured. I would have also liked to see your personal experience in your time management posting, explaining when you find time for reflection, and how you carry out your reflection.
On another note, I loved your posting about your previous work experience. I loved how you stood up for the patient and spoke to the surgeon about her possible complication. I fully agree with you that we should indeed be our patients’ advocates and not let such things go un-noticed.
To conclude, I really enjoyed reading your postings and look forward to read more of your work.- Roxanne

Hi valentina, well done on your writings. In you first reflection, you immediately give and explore your own opinions on the topic. This is also evident in your other three reflections! Well done! I suggest challenging these presumptions and delve deeper into why you do not like writing and what it is so difficult. Your writings are very well structured, with good flow between one paragraph and the next. The sentence structure needs some proof-reading. I really enjoyed reading your third reflection. It is straight forward and you derived a good action plan. I would add further detail in the description and feelings and delve deeper into the situation and focus on one aspect in your action plan, in further detail. Such as either interpersonal skills or patient autonomy. The references you use are integrated well within your writings. Keep up the good work!

 Hello Valentina,

First of all congrats on nearing the end of this study unit. It was nice getting to know you (even if it was virtually) and read your reflections.

With regards to the concepts relating to the reflections, you demonstrated that you manage to incorporate the reflections well in discussion 4 and 6 even with your own personal experiences. Examples were also present in your reflection which is also another bonus. The last post about the mother who pushed her baby off her is especially interesting to read. I love how you highlighted the nurse's instinct.

On the other hand, in the 5th discussion about portfolios, I don't know if you understood the concept or not. However, from the photos you uploaded it seems that you have understood that the discussion was about the traditional portfolios rather than the online portfolios. In fact it was about e-portfolios and not portfolios per se. Whilst it was quiet a good reflection, there are some differences which I feel that these were not really highlighted since you talked solely about portfolios. However, this is a genuine mistake that could have happened to any one of us and also something we could all also think and reflect about.

Meanwhile, with regards to language use and reference use, I really like how you manage to incorporate the references within your reflections. Your critical analysis is also good
and your ability to interlink with previous experience is amazing. Well done once again!

Hello Valentina,

It was nice reading your journals once again.I think you journals were well structured and straight forward. However in journal 5 about e-portfolios, I think you have deviated a bit from the topic you were requested to write about. Personally I do not think that what you wrote about is complete out of point, however I would have liked to see you incorporate something about eportfolios in your journal.

On the other hand, I loved how you added picture to help the reader stay focused and what is being said.I personally think you did a great job overall.

Hey Valentina,
I really enjoyed reading the journals you wrote on the mahara. Apologies for not providing feedback for the other journals but I read them all at once. I really got inspired how you reflected in the last reflection. The way you managed to handle the new mother and her baby. How you managed to reflect afterwards for further reference in the future.
In the E portfolios journal I can really relate to my self since I have the exact file for my certificates thus I believe that in that discussion we had to discuss e-portfolio. Form what I think it is related to online documentation that can be shared within your friends and colleagues. In the arts reflection I can say that it is really well structured and interesting. I like the way how you manage to put pictures in order to make us more understand you reflections. Well done :D
Chantelle

Hi Valentina, well done on completing all your reflective writings and submitting everything on time. Your reflections are very well written, however they are very reliant on information from the literature. When reflecting, you have to really think critically about what you are reflecting on. Your reflection on experience attempts to do this and manages to get a better insight to your thoughts. Thus, focus on an analysis which has more depth, not from research but from your own thoughts and opinions. Do not be afraid to use 'I' in reflective writing.
