I am not a fan of singing Japanese songs and I don't really listen to them. However, Since I entered Nihongo Kurasu, I listen to more and more Japanese songs and soon I became fond of them. Actually, I like a different kind of song but since the song that I sang, which is Kiroro Mira e, was one of the first Japanese song that I heard before entering Nihongo Kurasu, I felt nostalgic about it and decided to sing this song. Before this, I could not pronounce any Japanese phrases but since I am in Nihongo Kurasu, I know how to pronounce and I can gladly say that my pronunciation is better than before. Thank you for the opportunity sensei. Doomo arigatou gozaimasu. Oh, And getting first place was just a big bonus.

This is actually my first time joining karaoke contest and at the same time singing in Japan language. To be honest, I have no idea that this was actually a contest and it has to be recorded. I thought that we were going to help in setting up and prepared the things needed for the karaoke contestant.
As soon as we knew that we were the contestant which was a day before, we then started to find a song. In this contest, I partner with my tomodachi Gloria-san. This was to eased and to lessen our anxiety as we both did not prepared well.
Moving on, the song that we have chosen was in title "Kiroro". In English the title can be translated into best friend. Back in the past, I might not be able to pronounce the word as well as understand the lyric. However, being in Japanese class for few weeks help a lot in my pronunciation and understanding their words.
In conclusion, this is obviously not be our best performance but it certainly one of my memorable experience of learning Japan language.

It was a good experience because I am an introvert and revealing myself in such way was my greatest achievement. I did develop my self confidence and probably will contribute more in the future.
During the International Day, I participated karaoke with my classmate, Feynelia. We chose the song Best Friend by Kiroro and it is one of Kiroro's popular song. Sadly, it was difficult to download the karaoke version as the internet connection was very slow and we were in the rush. Therefore, we did 'sing-a-long' througout the karaoke competition.
