This goal affects everyone. People around the world need to become more aware of what they buy and use and ask themselves if we need to produce more, or if things can be recycled and reused.

Everyone can participate when it comes to lowering how much we consume and what kind of things are produced.

There is something called "supply and demand". If people demand a product, it will eventually be produced -and the people will be supplied. Sometimes companies produce more than what is demanded and the supply will end up being sold cheaper or become waste. We need to ask ourselves -do we need this?

The idea of the 17 goals was born during a conference in Rio de Janeiro in 2012.

The aim is to reach as many goals as possible by 2030

According to UN, making children take part in changing a lifestyle can lead to success. If young people start taking responsibilty for the world they are growing up in, there is a good chance that consumption and production can change for the better. Recycling and using less plastic are things that can be done.
