art is a fun activity for small toddlers. It helps a child to communicate with everyone around them. They gain so much experience about art when are taught something given to them, such as markers, pencil crayons, paint, or anything to use to make art. As an ECE worker we can support them by asking what part is this? How will it work? And give them a high 5 so that they know we are proud of them!

Deanna

( or it can show how scared they were in the moment of something happened when they were playing out somewhere.

How to support, We have to pay attention closely on how they tell story. Art is also important as it can share fun, funny make up stories.

Joan

Art helps a child communicate, they draw visuals of what they know or what have they experienced, it also calms their mind, they try not to colour outside the lines, my child is always happy to colour, every child loves colouring, it helps them ease their minds for a while. ECE works can support this by being encouraging and ask what they are colouring and if they like what they are colouring, just ask questions to make them feel good about their beautiful art. -Jean
