The Swallowe was listed as one of the Queen's ships weighing at 308 tons which was captained by Richard Hawkins, son of the famous John Hawkins. The Swallowe was an example of a new series of faster and more maneuverable warships that allowed them to fire broadside. Source: Comes from a scroll of Vellum, called the Anthony Roll, which describes and illustrates all of the ships of King Henry VIII's navy. This is a reliable source because it was a scroll of military records.

This photo is not reliable although the painter was very well known in the description it said it was meant to show the queen's greatness so not sure it was real. This was released after the death of queen Elizabeth to celebrate the queen's greatness. This painting shows a lot of naval ships around one last ship.

This document is about Elizabeth's speech before they fight against the Spanish. In the speech it states "I know I have the weak body of a female, but I have the heart of a king, and I will not allow any king to invade my nation." Elizabeth announces that she will fight even though she knows she is not strong, and this gives her troops the strength needed for them to fight against the Spanish.

This source is a map of where the naval fleet was going to go. This is a reliable source because this route is the reason the Spaish failed to get to England. The map shows the failure of the Spainsh trying to go to England and from their mistake, they had to go all the way around the British Isles to get back to Spain and this was thought to have been a very low success rate.

The English fleet was in short supply of materials because people were refusing to supply them in fear of not getting paid back by the Queen. Rulers had a bad reputation for paying debts. Sir Owen Hopton was ordered to take said people and put them in prison for not following Royal Orders. At the same time the Armada was sailing up the English channel and invasion seemed likely. The source is from a letter sent to Sir Owen Hopton from the Privy Council. This source is reliable because it was a part of government giving direct orders to a lieutenant of the Tower of London.

The English fleet was following the retreating Spanish Armada but had to return to port to replenish their food and water storage. They had also run low of gun powder and ammunition. The Spanish Armada was followed until they passed Newcastle. The source is from a letter written by Sir Thomas Fenner, a captain of one of the English ships. The source is reliable because he was there as they were following the Spanish Armada.

This document is the woodcut of a ship believed to be the Ark Royal. The ship had four masts and 50 guns built into it and was built for speed and maneuverability. Also, this ship was a lot sleeker and less top heavy compared to older designs. All of these features on the ship gave it many advantages against the Spanish ships. These ships could fire broadsides using the cannons placed along the length of the ship and they could travel easier in windy weathers compared to the Spanish
