The teacher in this chapter decided to use dance as a media to show how seeds grow in the ground. She has her students begin in a small ball on the ground and then slowly they uncurl themselves and stand straight up with their arms and fingers spread. This is as if they have sprouted out of the ground. She then has her students sway back and forth as if the wind is blowing on the seedlings that have hatched out of the ground.

I was previously a cheer and dance coach so many of the concepts talked about in this chapter I am very familiar with. However, I did enjoy how the teacher incorporated other subjects into her dance lesson. This allows students to connect other subject areas to dance.
