This is a song by the band Slipknot which are from Des Moines,IA.
This song was released in 2008. The song was towards to the people whose life has gone downhill due to world crisis.
The point that the songwriter want to express is the world at stake and how the world can make you feel like "all hope is gone".
This artifact relates to Orwell in the first part which is
"The state of the nation, violation!
A broken promise is as good as a lie
The hell is humongous, the devil's among us
And we will burn because we won't unite!"
this explains that the nation lies to us by saying everything is fine and it's not, then violates us. Then when disaster comes we will all die because we won't unite.
We should care because this can warn us to stick together at all times before we all fall.

Handmaid's tale

Handmaid's tale was a book written by Margaret Atwood published 1985, but recently became a series in 2017.
The author is talking to both genders calling it a "human story" not a "Female story" because she believes that "women rights are human rights".
The point that the author makes is that a totalitarian state can strip away our right but can't stop people from resisting and still standing in what they believe in.
This artifact relates to Orwell's book because it has the same relations which is about a government where the people have no authority and the state holds absolute control over every aspect of the country. They both created these totalitarian societies to present warning against the results of particular behaviour today to illustrate how the future may result, and it is through the central characters that we are able to feel the suffering that exists inside these societies.
we should care because Orwell and Margent are warning us and we should hold on to that warning so that if there is a day like this we could stop it.

V for Vendetta is about a vigilante known only as V uses terrorist tactics to fight the oppressors who are a fascist government of the world in which he now lives.
This was written by Alan Moore and David Lloyd and released the movie March 17, 2006.
The writers going towards the citizens, one of the key points the movies makes is "People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people."
This relates to 1984 in many ways especially the themes of dystopia, totalitarianism, oppression, rebellion/dissent.
Important because it addresses the plight of citizens everywhere when and if their governments take on a fascist identity. Important, in how hypocrisy, power, violence, wealth and propaganda is used to cull certain "undesirable" sectors of a populace to restrain the rest, but most importantly, how these things are done with our consent. Silence implies consent. Whether for victim or for citizen. Important, in that it highlights that these undemocratic and inhumane actions of governments that have gone out of control, are not without consequence. The word "circumstance" was a key point throughout the movie, the word "consequence", though not frequently used, lay beneath the movie's substrata, and was waiting to strike at the conclusion. Consequence for all parties involved.

This artifact is a meme which makes fun of girlfriends that stalk their boyfriends to make sure they are not cheating.
Since this is from an image search, I do not who created it and where it's from.
This has a relation to 1984 because Orwell explains which stuff is not private which is basically everything.
I think this is important because today with social media people are not that private. There are cases and conspiracy theories of the government watching us through our social medias even our phones. I feel like we have to be careful what we post because for example a couple was going to do a prank on Donald trump but the mistake was they said something on twitter and the secret service found them somewhere and investigated them but in a violated way. I believe we what Orwell warned us about is coming true, the surveillance part.

The artifact makes fun of north Korea because of their censorship and that he can't share his picture so makes people see it by driving it by.
Since this is from an image search, I do not who created it and where it's from.
This relates to 1984 because the citizens don't have the freedom to express anything on the internet just like the people in north korea. People in korea can't have access to find out about a lot of things which limits them from self exploration and freedom just like in 1984.
We should care because we humans have the right to explore and learn many things no matter what. without the internet or social media we the people would not grow or find out who we are as individuals.
