What I learned in class:

Through the creation of the cabinet, President George Washington spread his power as the chief executive of the United States by creating a group that would advise him on the needs of the country. While the cabinet members had power over their individual departments, Washington had the final authority over those members and they could be fired at any time.

So what? How does what I learned affect the country and maybe me personally?

This could lead down a dangerous path if the president only keeps around people in the cabinet that tell him or her what they want to hear. It is good for the country to have a wide range of opinions working to make the country better. If the president only keeps around people who all think in the exact same way, the country may suffer.

What I learned in class:
With the creation of the cabinet President George Washington used his powers as president to help him make a group helping him advise in the country. These cabinet members had control of different departments and helped Washington in making decisions for the country. The president also has the power to fire anyone from the cabinet.

So what? How does what I learned affect the country and maybe me personally?
It could lead to many terrible things for example, if everyone has the same ideas no good will happen. We need different people with different ideas to make this country great. The president also gets decisions on who gets fired. If you make one mistake you could get fired. The country could suffer over someone getting just simply fired. The country could suffer if terrible people are in the cabinet.

What I learned in class:
The president, George Washington created a group called the cabinet to help the president recommend ideas to help the country. George Washington started a precedent is that the president can fire cabinet officials without the permission of the legislative branch.

So what? How does what I learned affect the country and maybe me personally?:
I think that this can impact the country in a good and bad way. In a good way because if we elected the president we should trust him and believe in him to make the right choice. And no because he can fire anyone that he dose not agree with for example he could fire someone if he dose not like the idea.

Further research: Since trump became president many people got fired. Because of this, this can hurt us and trump. It can lead in the wrong direction for trump because firing means that he has to find new people that are willing to help and goes through a long process which in my opinion is not great. For us it can also lead the wrong way because we don get to pick the people of the cabinet we also don't know why he fired those people nor what was his reason.

What I learned in class:
When George Washington created the cabinet, he shared his power with other people. This is good because too much power to one person can be bad for the country. If he didn't create the cabinet, all other presidents would be required to make important, life changing decisions by themselves.

So what? How does what I learned affect the country and maybe me personally?
This could affect the country in a very negative way because the president has such a big job already that when important decisions are presented to him, he can be stressed so it's nice to have people to put their input and opinions in the decision making process. This could personally affect me personally by different policies made to schooling or taxes on snacks and clothes.

How does what I learned affect the country and maybe me personally? This could affect the country because if there is a cabinet there is more opinions to help our country for the better but if the president can fire members from the cabinet without approval how do we know if its for the worst or for the best but with the cabinet you wont be giving anyone too much power because with too much power could lead to selfish decisions and it could affect me because without the cabinet there could be bad decisions with someone in so much power and it could also affect me by the president having the power to fire people without checking in with someone cause what if he fires someone just because they don't think the same you never know and that could affect me because the decisions they make i have to live with.

Which affects me personally because I live in this country.

This caused a rebellion which cause violence. There way to rebel was to pour tar and feathers on the tax collectors. Then George Washington and the militia showed Americans that the federal government would enforce laws.

So what? How does what I learned affect the country and maybe me personally?
I think that this is a good thing that George Washington and the militia stopped the whiskey rebellion because this shows that they are in charge and if he did not stop it there might have been more wars which equals more money which equals more dept.

What I learned in class about George Washington and the whiskey rebellion is that America was in debt so George Washington decided to tax them they didn't like this so they decided to fight against it, and to make them stop George Washington, resorted to violence. This might affect the country by encouraging them to start more rebellion or it'll do the opposite. This affects me personally because I very much dislike how Washington thought violence was the only answer.

What I learned in class:
I learned that after the revolutionary war, our country was in debt. We owed money for guns we used, food we ate and soldiers that helped fight. Because of this debt, our government had to tax Whiskey, one of the main ways people used to trade and make money. People got extremely mad because of this tax and decided to take matters into their own hands. They did this by starting a rebellion against it. During this, our government and George Washington forced them to stop and put things back in order.
So what? How does what I learned affect the country and maybe me personally?
It would affect the country by letting citizens know that the government wasn't playing around and indeed had power to stop foolish things. This doesn't really affect me since this was back in 1780 but i can relate to taxes on some of my favorite snacks.

George Washington promised land to the Native Americans. Americans settled in their land anyway. Fighting broke out out. Washington sent troops to stop the native Americans and failed. Washington sent another army and secured part of the present day Ohio.
SO what?
No this is not good because Washington betrayed the Native Americans. The Natives now know they should take on the Americans and there will be war again and the natives might team up with the British.

What I learned in class about Native American Relations is that the Native Americans were promised land by George Washington, but he lied about his promise, so began a war. This affects our country because this is a war partially about our country.

Also the Native Americans were tricked into signing off their land that is present day Ohio.
So what? How does what I learned affect the country and maybe me personally?
This is important because after they signed the treaty, we then founded the state of Ohio and we didn't have to fight over the land anymore. This affects me personally because that became a new state in America, the country that i live in.

So what? if they choose a side and fought in war they would be in more debt and could of lost many people in the war and we could have lost trade and they needed the trade to get everything else that they needed so if they did go into war it would affect the country like death and debt and that's just the beginning.
