BIG IDEA 2:

When we work together and need to think creatively to solve problems, we more often than not take different paths to get to the same place.

In Collaborative Thinking, we attempt to connect our ideas to reach the same goal, using pieces of each idea to build a new path. This type of thinking looks a lot like compromise and Co-Operation.

[iPhone Maps Example]

FINAL IDEA:

While you work together, try to use Collaborative Thinking to combine your group members' ideas and strategies so that you do not rely on just the ideas of 1 group member, and to avoid conflict.

As group members, try to connect the ideas you are sharing and make a new idea/solution that surpasses (is better) than what was originally thought of.

Instead of thinking of conflict as a negative thing, use it to explore new ideas that your group didn't think of before. Use the "Yes, and..." strategy during your discussions, as well as asking a question about someone's idea or opinion instead of a simple "why".

[iPhone Mindly App Model]
