A season of a mix of summer and winter. It is the season where the flowers usually grow on a grassland. Spring occurs when the Sun's rays strike the equator at noon from directly overhead. Spring has other definitions. The seasons result from the tilt of the Earth and its yearly circling of the Sun.

Summer is the hottest season of the year. This is because Earth is the closest to the sun at the time of summer. Because of the tilt of the Earth parts of the world are always in different seasons. Seasons all depend on where the Earth is and when it it going to be there.

If the tilt in the Earth would change then the seasons would be different in two ways time and place. If the tilt was changed then only some places on the planet would get there seasons at the right time of year. Instead of having winter during winter time you'd get winter when its supposed to be fall for example.

Why the sun sets at different times

The sun sets at different times every season. The reason why is because the sun will be either closer or farther from Earth so you will see the sun more or less in the day. That is why in summer it seems that the days are longer and in the winter days are shorter. Depending on how far the sun is is how long you will see the sun
