As I stood by the shores of Manila Bay, watching the sun slowly set, I felt a deep connection to its stories, dreams, and history, but as reclamation projects reshape the bay and displace thousands of fisherfolk, this moment reminds me that true progress must uplift everyone, challenging me, as a HUMSS student, to use my voice, education, and heart to stand with those whose struggles are too often silenced, because a future that leaves the vulnerable behind is not a future worth building.

Traveling to Hong Kong was more than an adventure; it was an extension of my HUMSS journey, where holding my camera taught me that capturing moments means witnessing diverse lives as people with different races go to places with one desire to experience something thrilling, embracing cultural sensitivity with empathy, and realizing that in understanding others, I also deepen my understanding of my own country, seeing how our culture stands proud yet evolves through our interactions with the world.

Visiting Fully Booked BGC as a HUMSS student feels like stepping into a world where endless possibilities unfold with every page, surrounded by books, art, and stories from all walks of life, being reminded of the power of reading and literacy — how they shape minds, challenge perspectives, and build bridges between people and cultures.

Visiting the National Museum feels like stepping into the soul of my HUMSS journey, where standing before Juan Luna's Spoliarium reminds me that studying humanity means listening to its silent cries through history, art, and culture, and that true appreciation goes beyond seeing beauty — it is about embodying the deep themes of injustice, hope, and resilience that define our nation's story.
