Propaganda is a way of persuasion,  but only used to put shame or hate on something or country. Propaganda is used as a main source for countries' governments. Governments use propaganda in a masked way to either make people do something, or make them stop. Governments use propaganda or posters,television, and or any other form of public communication.

Hello Mr. President Roosevelt, my name is パワー ダグラス(In english it’s Power Douglas) but in the US my friends know me as Shang Douglas. A little bit about myself, I’m 13, turning 14 by the time you get this letter(it’s february 26) I like basketball, my favorite food is hamburgers, my parents say I’m very smart because I had to skip a grade and I’m Japanese. In this entire unit, we had to choose one topic for our “Dispatches” on Technology.  The topic I chose for all of my Dispatches was” Technology vs. Nature”, I chose this topic because I felt like it was the most interesting thing to talk about, for this “war” has been going on for quite some time. Many people would say” Technology is the winner”, and you would be right. But people tend to forget the things that technology is capable of when taken advantage of. 

Technology has proven to not disappoint, always showing new and” Innovative” ways to go about on the internet. But now people want to use these” Innovative” ways for simple things and bad stuff. Now that VR is a thing, technology has now gotten another way to persuade people and mainly kids, more video games. Most free-to-play VR games and almost any free-to-play video game has ads and/or bought extensions. Take “Roblox” as an example, a free-to-download video game on almost all devices. You can play for free, but all of the colorful things on the games you play are so tempting, you need to get it but in reality, you don’t.” Roblox” makes around $900,000 just in one day of people spending money on their coins or as they call it” Robux”. So even though the app may be free,  it is not free to buy things.

In this unit, we’ve also learned that VR could change the world for the better, or make the world worse.  In one of the articles we read, it shows how VR headsets can also affect how people think of themselves” Recent research has shown myriad negative effects of social media on the psyches of children and adolescents, from the prevalence of bullying and harassment to self-esteem and body image issues. Those same pitfalls could be just as prevalent — if not worse — in the wide-open metaverse, with its series of vast virtual worlds intended for both work and play.” This small part of the article shows that kids and adults can get socially hurt and mentally. VR headsets can also make you anonymous, making it where you can’t know the person that you might see a VR headset. This is a big step for the human race, but now we tend to forget about the wildlife around us. As technology starts to rise, nature and the earth's climate begin to fall.

In all of our time focused on screens, we lose focus on what is all around us. Like right now, you’re reading this essay on a device. If you take the time to look around and focus on what’s going on around us, we might be able to make a difference and change what all of the futuristic stories think will happen. With all this said, we could be losing technology, but if given to the right hands, we could have a chance of gaining and learning more better stuff about our technology.
