He initially joined the federally registered investment advisor and broker dealer in 1984 as a registered representative. As president and chief executive officer of First Western Advisors, Gary Teran is responsible for the management of over 5,000 accounts in 40 states throughout the country, with an asset portfolio valued at approximately $500 million. Prior to his time with First Western Advisors, he spent five years as an accounting and finance professional at Sorenson Research and Abbott Labs. Mr. Teran holds undergraduate and graduate-level financial degrees from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He also maintains a number of professional designations and certifications, including his Series 65 license as a registered investment advisor, and his Series 7 license as a registered securities representative.
