There was not just diaspora with the Kenyens but with other populations such as the Arabs, as well as Aboriginals. Due to this mix of ethnicities, the culture of Kenya became diverse, with especially food, art, and clothing having numerous influences. This is evident in the food and clothing observed in the festival, such as the colourful clothing they had on display, as well as a huge variety of food

The clothing (pictured) observed is extremely colourful, with bright colours and eye-catching patterns. This is because creativity and art is a huge part of Kenyan culture; expression and making a positive statement is a huge part of their culture and as a community. This is even found in their offical flag, with a creative design on it as well as four colours.

Along with clothing, the food of Kenyans need to be bold and make a statement. Tea, snacks, and much more was observed at the festival, and the ingredients are all found in their native land, such as spices like tea, sisal, pyrethrum, and beans like coffee beans. There strong agriculture is transferred in their meals, consisting of a base such as corn, and starches, then augmented with rich spices and flavourful ingredients such as sweet fruits like pinapple and plaintains, to salty food like fish, which is a huge part of their agriculture.

Along with clothing, the arts as a whole are an intergral part of the Kenyan community. Some prominant examples are Music, Dance, and visual Arts such as Sculpting and Whittling. An example of these things found in the cultural festival is whittled sculptures (pictured), clothing (pictured), and jewellary (pictured). These pieces are all creative, colourful, and eyecatching, all because expression is important to the community, as well as telling a story through visuals.

In conclusion, due to diaspora, and repression because of foreigners, Kenya has risen stronger and more creative than ever, observed through their expression of the arts, food, and clothing, through using colour and patterns to entice people and spark creativity within themselves and in others. It is valuable to note that the most important thing for Kenyans is community, and within that support. They believe that no one can survive in this world alone.

In terms of gender roles, it was observed that both males and females did equal parts manual labour, and equal parts creative tasks. This is because community and support are all big parts of Kenyan culture, and limiting a sex to a gender role is detrimental to everyone in the community. It was observed that women tended to the crops, just like men, they both fetched the water, and they both participated in creative tasks such as dancing and sculpting. Equality was prominantly observed in Kenyan culture.

The climate in Kenya is quite hot throughout the year, with rain season spanning from March/April to May/June. Due to this climate, the citizens wear short, breezy clothing, which was observed in the festival with the clothing that was displayed.
