Can you give the html iframe codeto embed padlet?
You can get this from the Padlet tool itself. Click on "Share" at the top of your padlet, choose "Share / Export / Embed ..." , look near the bottom of the box and choose the option to share in a Web site. (You'll see these: < >). Click on that option and you will get the code you can drop right into the HTML viewer in the Canvas Rich Content Editor.

I will not be able to edit my current canvas courses this summer. How can I add a course that I can edit over the summer?

In most cases, teachers can create their own empty courses (unlimited) and work in them. In the fall, when PowerSchool creates your new courses, go into the course settings, and select "Import content into this course." You will get a list of courses in which you have been a teacher. Select the course you built, and Canvas will move course into your PowerSchool-created course.

I would like to use a google form in canvas. Is there a way to lock the students to the canvas page? I don't want to have to redo all my tests I created in google forms. :D

You can embed Google documents, including forms, using iFrame HTML code. (This is explained in one of the other posts here.)

Yes ... Using the Google Drive LTI. Your Canvas administrator enables it first, then you will have a Google icon appear in your Rich Content Editor. Click on it, and you'll get instructions on how to proceed.

My favorite skill is embedding. It takes a bit of practice, but if you can learn how to embed iframe html code (it isn't hard) it opens-up ENDLESS options.

You can go into the target course settings, click on "Import" content, and view a list of all courses in which you have been a teacher. Select the one where you want to import content, and you're set!

Can other presentation tools like PearDeck be embedded and completed in Canvas?

They often can, using iFrame embed code. Each tool differs in how it gives you this code.

How to structure a daily agenda board on canvas?

There are many ways to do it. Personally, for something I'm going to update every day (and possibly multiple times a day), I would keep my agenda in a Google Doc or spreadsheet, and embed it in a Canvas page using Google's "Publish to the Web" feature (under 'File'). This will generate iframe html code ... Just copy everything between < > into the HTML editor in Canvas. If this is way too difficult at this point, I almost guarantee there is another teacher in your building who knows how to embed iframe content and they can walk you through it. After you see it once, it's a piece of cake.

If your agenda is just simple text, you can use a plain "vanilla" Canvas content page to hold it. You could also create an announcement each day for containing your agenda, especially if you wanted your students to receive notifications about it.

I think most of us understand the value of Canvas. My suggestion for future Roadshows would be to separate advanced users in the beginning. We are already sold. I was hoping to use this time to learn Canvas applications. Thank you.

This is done through an external tool ... Respondus Lockdown Browser is a common one. We also have a Canvas institution that is working on a Chrome plugin to do the same thing , and we will be happy to share it when it becomes available.

I kind of feel as though I am sitting in an advertisement. I want to cut to the chase!

I'm sorry ... We have how-tos on the agenda for today ... I was specifically asked to explain underlying reasons for Canvas. I'll take that feedback and recommend we have less of that and more of the practical instruction.
