Hannah Senesh Budapest, Hungary as the daughter of an author and journalist.

She studied first at an agricultural school and then settled at Kibbutz Sdot Yam.

She was only 23 when she died. (1944)

She wrote poetry, as well as a play about kibbutz life.

She was executed by a firing squad on November 7
