At the start of the day we were put with a different job so i think that is bad because it shows disorganization to what we were doing. But once we were doing we got to the arts department and we were working together to take them off the wall and then replace the Velcro that was holding them then we made sure that there was a gap the same distance between them and we also made sure that they were all level with each other when we put the poster up. For example please see the pictures that Mia has for proof. As we were doing the job this morning we didn't need any PPE because it was a simple task even though i thorough that we could have tripped on the posters because they were really slippy but in the end we didn't because we were careful where we placed them on the floor. Monday Afternoon- The activity that i did this afternoon was some odd jobs around college. The first job that i did was find some photos on the internet to go with something else that we were doing on sustainability. Then after that there was me, Josh,Jack W, Conner and Max left in the class room so we went out and about with Gill to go and collect used coffee cups and bring them back to the class room. The PPE that we needed was to wear a glove on the hand that was going in the bin because it is for hygiene purpose.

Cleaning the whiteboards entailed using cloths and water to wipe down whiteboards in tow class rooms. Despite us being able to complete this task it did take a while as some of the boards had permanent marker on them. We also made sure that we had all the correct PPE. I think that overall it was successful as all the whiteboards were cleaned to a high stranded despite the amount of time it took. Also, I looked for coffee cups to recycle. This entitled looking for used coffee cups around the college in able to, ultimately, recycle them. We were able to collect multiple cups which means a positive outcome for this task. Also in between the giving out of the surveys I helped Mia and Jane with a poster to go on the side of a trolley to show how many coffee cups we have collected throughout the work. We then took them to room 208 while Jess worked on a label for our donation bucket which gathered £71. We also made a box and got permission from the principal to leave it in the refectory where we hope to gather more donations. We would like to use this extra money to help Linda’s Group buy paint for the sensory garden. We didn’t need any PPE this morning and we all worked efficiently and harmoniously together. Here we met up with Jack H and Rich. After visiting every bank in town, we ended up counting the money and getting it changed in the Cumberland. Once the money was changed, we went to savers and began shopping. Here we bought things such as: sanitary products, toothbrushes, hairbrushes and hygiene products for our “care packages” which we are going to give to College’s most vulnerable students. When we got back to college, we got to work right away and managed to put together 8 packages as well as a girls “take as you wish” box. And we still have plenty of supplies. I think my team worked really well together and should all be proud of ourselves for what we have achieved. However, I do think we should have constructed a list of items to buy rather than just throwing things in the basket and next time Mr ‘I break everything I touch’ (Jack) might not be allowed to handle things that he can break. We also added another table. Then dresses and jumpers were hung back up with all coat hangers facing the same way. While Ellie Jo and Sarah worked getting all of the care package equipment out onto the tables, Jess worked on the labels for individual bags and boxes. We also had some photos taken by the college photographer. Once everything was in, we were very pleased. The only thing that didn’t go smoothly was that we had a slight disagreement about where the bags were going to go. Other than that, we couldn’t fault this mornings work. And we managed to do so in just over an hour! Which is pretty good going considering the initial state of the cupboard, none of us knew where to start. However once we got into the swing of things we were able to have a laugh and get on at the same time, which I think is a good team quality. My team has worked well all week and this afternoon topped it off nicely. We each did our own area and moved things around as well as trying to sort things into piles as much as we could. The room is now much more spacious and organised and we were glad with the result.
