When 9th grade me stumbled across the Philippine-American War, I knew I had to do my project over it because I wanted to know more about my mom's country. 

Now that I'm reading it all over again, I had realized the impact of this information, for we learn more about the Spanish American War in Unit 7 and how the US attempted to take the Philippines. So... I use this as an excuse for practice. Most articles on the first page are random websites I have never heard of, so it's evident that no one references this war as a "genocide" of people. Literally, there is a US government website that has the Philippine-American War as a milestone..
