By far one of the more interesting science courses in Nursing School. Labs for this class are especially fun. Finding out about all of the different flora that lives on our body is amazing. You wouldn't think that we have that much bacteria living on us but we do, and it's good for us (mostly). Certain soaps/sanitizers are actually more harmful for our health than beneficial. Killing the bad bacteria is good but a lot of soaps kill the good AND bad bacteria, making us more susceptible to illness and disease. We need that good bacteria to protect our immune system from those yucky pathogenic bacterias.

It just amazes me on how many steps and procedure there are to do things. Such as CPR and washing your hands.

If anything was to occur with me being around it would be helpful to throw some advice out there. Also me having children learning about first aid was helpful. If anything where to happen to my kids I would know exactly what to do in certain situations.

My favorite part was definitely learning about what to do in certain "emergencies" such as fainting and choking.
