I just wanted to first thank you for being a great friend and brother to me, growing in our relationship from awkward greetings in YA to sharing a room in Sucat, and then now just seeing each other once a while but looking forward to what lies ahead! I appreciate your humor, your authenticity (borderline no-filter minsan hahaha), and how it's so natural for you to offer help.

I admire your strength also to be able to keep walking forward amidst the challenges you had to go through, esp as the eldest son in your family.

Thank you for being very open to me, and sharing life with me (to say the least). I'm grateful for you bro!

Speaking of authenticity, and segueing to my prayer for you, I'd like to share this quote by Thomas Merton: “For me to be a saint means to be myself. Therefore the problem of sanctity and salvation is in fact the problem of finding out who I am and of discovering my true self.” David, my prayer for you and your family is that God will show you how you can be saints in this lifetime, by letting Him, who knows you well, to reveal to you who you truly are; and that when He shows that, you will experience great courage and joy to pursue it.

You have been a blessing to our community's youth programs and outreaches as you unselfishly share your creative talents,  organizational skills, and even financial resources. 

Christ started His public ministry at the age of 30 ... I hope and pray na sana ma inspire ka rin to embark on another journey different to what you have already  been accustomed to ... papunta ika nga doon sa "exciting part" ... and not necessarily payback time for the time you gave your past PL's a hard time, hehehe. 

We know that your family is going thru a very challenging time right now. If it were up to you, I know that you would prefer to take on the pain  instead of seeing your loved ones suffer.  You would rather be preoccupied by various tasks to exhaust all possible means to ease their burden. 

My special prayer for you, dear brother, is that you will also find God's grace to slow down and to live in the moment where you can allow God to embrace you and move the mountain for you.

Thank you for accepting me for who I am, for being so encouraging, and for just being a good friend. I love that I can tell you stories (chika) and makikinig ka without judgement and then even give advice on what to do. I don’t know if I thanked you for sticking with me during our 2018 Catchfire Ormoc. I was literally a crying mess, but you stuck it out with me kahit na ampangit kong ka-bonding that time 😂 I am grateful na kasama ka sa lahat ng provincial Catchfire tours kasi sinasamahan mo ako kapag nahihiya ako makipag-mingle. And tinutulungan mo ako sa pagsulat ng spiels kapag na-mental block. You were always ready to lend us a helping hand sa tech booth kahit sa stage ang designation mo. You didn’t have to be bothered by our “woes,” but you were always there ready to help. Remember our Cebu trip? HAHAHA sobrang gulo nun. Buti na lang andun ka to sort and organize everything. Kung wala ka nun…good luck talaga 🤣 I honor you for your zeal to serve. Ang intense ng services mo and kahit nagkakasabay-sabay na ang lahat ng bagay, you still manage to see everything through. I really am in awe by the way you put your heart in your service. I am sure hindi madaling gawin ang lahat ng iyon, but you still forge on and carry them out excellently — grabe. Ibang level ka, David. I remember when I asked for your help to do the “It is finished” video for one of our Triduums. I witnessed how hectic your work life was, and yet, you still managed to squeeze in this video, finish it on schedule, do it excellently and even have time to take Monica out for dinner. Intense ang juggling skills mo. I salute you. I also honor you for being such a good padre de pamilya. How you serve Monica and Caylee at home, how you make sure they are well taken cared of, and even extending that to us (the magugulong friends) when we come over to visit. You make sure we have enough food and drinks, and even take over the chores para makapag-chikahan kami up to infinity. You even make us drinks and snacks. Thank you David for your friendship, for your love and care. Thank you most especially for loving and caring for Nix. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend to me. You were always someone I looked up to back in college - being so wise at a young age, hearing your own personal struggles and trusting God with them - and even more now that you've grown to be such a fine young man.
