Put your name in the title, then in the body answer the question: Rank the senses we've talked about (vision, taste, smell, touch, kinesthesis & vestibular) in order of importance and defend your reasoning.

1. Vision - because i learn by seeing things and it's important for me to be able to visual everything.
2. Hearing - because that's the second most affective way for me to learn. this helps me be more aware of my surroundings if i can't see.
3. Touch - this makes me familiar with what's around me as well and is also a way for me to learn.
4. Smell - because it is important to be able to smell things but i believe it would be easy to live without
5. Taste - although i love tasting things like food, i would also be okay without it.

Smell- I think this is important because it is something that is used constantly. Without it, it may be hard to function.
3. Pain- I think pain should be 3rd because being able to understand if something is harming you, deals with survival as you can die from something if your body doesn’t alert you
4. Taste- I think taste deserves this spot because this dead with more of a pleasure aspect. Being unable to taste things such as food may be difficult to deal with when consuming food.
5.- sensory interaction- I think this goes here because how senses interact is important, but I don’t think it’s necessary to live.

It also keeps us from endangering ourselves in harmful situations.
Kinesthesis - this is the ability to move your body and that is very important. If you can't move your body, then you can't do a lot of things.
Vestibular - having a good balance helps us move about without falling flat on our faces. We wouldn't be able to accomplish everyday activities if it was absent.
Taste - taste helps us distinguish food from sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and umami.
Smell - your sense of smell is almost as important as your sense of touch. It helps us identify whether something is dangerous or not.

1. Vision - Not being able to see would be very difficult. Our vision works with us from the start of our day to the end. It allows us to see our surroundings and is key to be able to communicate as well.
2. Touch - This is an important part when it comes to feeling things like pain or even just trying to figure out what a particular object is. Without this we wouldn't be able to sense pressure, warmth, and cold as well.
3. Vestibular - This is the ability to balance which helps coordinate movement with balance which helps us able to move and accomplish things.
4. Kinesthesis - the role of this is to sense movement and position. So without this, one wouldn't be able to do things that need to be done.
5. Smell - This sense is key to being able to smell certain things good or bad.
6. Taste - This is key when we eat foods, however if we didn't have taste we would never know what things would taste like so there is a possibility one can live without it.

If we lived without touch we wouldn’t feel any pain so if we got injured we wouldn’t realize it and it could potentially lead to our health being in danger.
-Vision is the second most important because sight is what we rely on most in our day to day lives. It’s what enables us to evaluate our surroundings and recognize social cues and circumstances
-Vestibular would be next because without it we would lack any sense of coordination and we wouldn’t be in control of our movements
-Kinesthesis is next because it allows us to be able to detect when something’s not right with our body’s position
-Smell would be the next important sense because it helps us recognize different surroundings and detect possible danger.
-Taste would be least important because while it is an added bonus it’s not a necessary sense that we need to live.

No walk= No catch food/ Be caught by would be food= No more you
2.Touch- Touch allows us to know when we are being burnt by a really hot stove or touching something really sharp that could hurt us really bad or a big old spider is on us and could kill us.
3. Vision- Oh No There's A Cliff There! Oh wait u didn't see it so your falling to your death. Sight allows us to not touch or do things that gets us in danger like walking off the edge of a cliff.
4. Kinesthesis- This is important because stairs would be really hard. Like you would need to be really careful with each step and we all know that won't roll during class changes.
5. Taste- One time I ate some really old alfredo sauce and it tasted really sour and my ability to sense that dank sourness told me to stop or else I would get sick. But i'm a special person and kept eating it and 3 hours later I was puking up the alfredo in the passenger's seat thinking I really need to start listening to myself.
6. Smell- I don't smell stank as much as everyone else. Like I don't flip out when someone farts and I actually find it to be a blessing. Sure I can't really smell flowers but i'm not a vegetable sniffer so I don't really care. I mean it's cool to smell good food when walking past a restaurant but I find it to be much more fun tasting it.

1.) Vision is the most important sense in my opinion because almost everything we do in the world requires vision to accomplish.

2.) I would say Kinesthesis and the vestibular are also very important because without them our sense of position and movement would be horrid, we would be very clumsy and not able to perform even the simplest physical tasks.

3.) Touch is another vital sense as without it we would not be able to tell whether our body is being hurt or damaged in any way, whether it be getting burnt or stabbed by something. Also texture is very important when it comes to how we describe things.

4.) Our sense of smell is important because it works hand in hand with our taste and most food would taste very bland without it also smells allow us to remember certain things better as certain ones are associated with some memories.

5.) Finally I put taste as last because I believe we can live without it for the most part, it would be a very bland life tho without the ability to taste food.

1) Kinesthesis and Vestibular
They have the biggest impact on how we navigate the world around us, guiding our general motions like walking, as well as more fine motor skills, such as moving pieces on a chess board.
2) Touch, and the senses that are a part of touch. They allow for you to feel pain, one of the most basic neccessities for survival. It also assists with our kinesthetic sense, in that qe can directly feel how much we grip something or move it.
3) Sight. It is used for most everything we do on a daily basis.
4) Hearing. Although not as widely useful as sight, they both have the same general purpose in a basic survival. Hearing however isn't as useful in midern day as it once was.
5) Taste.

1.) Kinesthesis is important because it allows an individual to sense their own body position. It enables us to be aware of our everyday movements.

2.) Vision is significant because is allows us to view the outside world, sense our environment, and perceive what’s going on around us through what we see.

3.) Vestibular is essential because is helps us maintain balance. Vestibular allows us to interact with our environment efficiently.

4.) Touch is very important because it enables us to sense cold, heat, pain, and pressure. It plays an important role in connection and reassurance.

5.) Smell is valuable because it is linked to emotions and memory. For example, smelling fresh baked cookies may cause you to reminisce on a fond memory of grandma baking for you as a kid.

6.) Taste is beneficial because it helps us taste the flavor of food we put into our bodies. It tells us if the food is salty, bitter, sour, sweet, or umami.

Without it we wouldn’t know how our body is moving.

The third is touch because we need to touch things to understand and know what or where we are.

The fourth is vision because seeing and observing the world is very important and without it we could be putting our selves in potential danger without even knowing.

The fifth is hearing, this is important because it can serve as a warning for danger that we might not be able to see it is also important for communication.

The fifth is smelling because it can also point out potentially dangerous things and give us heads up.

The last one is taste because we don’t really have a need for it, it is more of a want than need to survive.

Taste
I think kinesthesis and vestibular are the most important in body function because these sense allow us to control movement and balance the composition of our bodies. What run under those sense are vision, touch, smell, and taste because we rely on the combination of the sense to interpret the world around us. Many factors can affect your senses , for example your sense of smell can have an affect in your emotions and age can have a toll on your senses.

1.) Kinesthesis and Vestibular- When you walk into the kitchen and you notice that your sibling is eating the very last of the oreo cookies in the container and you haven’t even been able to eat any at all, your only thought would be the connection from your body and that space to get to the cookies. Well, without the Kinesthesis and Vestibular sense, that awesome feeling of sprinting to the cookies and smacking them out of your siblings hands wouldn’t exist.

2.) Vision- (going back to the first example) Picture yourself as the annoying sibling who is eating all the cookies. Then suddenly, you SEE your sibling sprinting towards you. Ah thank you vision, now you can quickly stuff the rest of the cookies in your mouth.

3.) Touch- It helps you detect if your body is in danger. For example, when being slapped after eating all the cookies.

4.) Smell- Useful in good situations such as food coming your way or dangerous situations such as a fire or gas leak.

5.) Taste- Ah that wonderful oreo.

I think Kinesthesis & Vestibular are the most important because without those two we definitely wouldn’t be able to function properly and be able to do daily tasks because we would be so clumsy
2. I think Touch is second most important because how else would blind people be able to figure out their way around places? And I think we probably use touch more than anything
3. I think Sight is the 3rd simply because you can live without your sight and it not as necessary to have in your life
4. I think Smell is 4th because that is why we can taste things, because we smell the aroma first so we kind of know what to expect when you are tasting it
5. And that is why I think Taste is last because you could survive without taste, although life wouldn’t be as enjoyable because you wouldn’t get to fully enjoy food, you’d still have some of the enjoyment through the aromas that smell gives you.

1. Kinethesis is very important because it links our body movements to our brain, allowing us to be aware of us functioning/moving (which we do everyday).
2. Vestibular sense is also key to our perception of body position and movement. This is always relevant and important for daily activities, like walking.
3. Touch helps us function easier by being able to feel are surroundings. Temperatures are linked to touch, and it allows us to know if we are experiencing something dangerous for our body like too hot or too cold temps.
4. Sight is a instant sense that we use for the majority of what we do. Although we can function without it, it makes life a lot easier and can fore-warn someone of danger, & so on.
5. Hearing is how our brains perceive sound, and with hearing we can be alerted with helpful information. Also, emotions are evoked through certain sounds that change/influence the way we act.
6. Smell is important for being able to indicate harmful chemicals in the air, like if there is a fire and you can smell smoke. It also brings pleasure for nice smells that we like.
7. Taste is helpful for deciding if something is not fit to eat, or if there could be something poisonous in our food. Also, taste gives us happy feelings when we eat something we like and is enjoyable for everyday.

Hearing: Hearing is very important because it gives you a sense of where things are located and where potential danger could be.
6. Sight: Sight allows you to see what is around you and have a sense of where things are. It allows you to see danger and use your other senses to get out of the way.
7.Vestibule and kinesthesis: These sense allow you to control your movement and be aware of your body position.

1. Touch- While your other four senses (sight, hearing, smell, and taste) are located in specific parts of the body, your sense of touch is found all over. This is because everywhere on our body (skin) is able to feel. Everywhere on our body is very sensitive to touch. Our sense of touch allows us to feel when an object is hot, cold, and warm.
2. Vision- As soon as we wake up in the morning until the time you go to the sleep at night, our eyes are kind of like video cameras. Everything we see our brain uses to help us remember what everything looks like. The sense of sight is the one sense out of our five that we use the most! Just like our touch sense our eyes are very sensitive
3. Kinesthesis- is basically the sense of movement. It's all about how we can sense if our body is moving. It's an awareness of our own body in terms of things such as where our limbs are currently resting. It's also referred to as muscle memory.
4. Vestibular- is our sense of balance. Where kinesthetic sense deals with our actual movements, like lifting a leg or an arm, vestibular sense has more to do with our movement in relation to the external world.
5. Taste- Our sense of taste allows us to enjoy every different taste, of each and every different foods. Taste buds play the most important part in helping us enjoy many different flavors. Our taste buds are able to recognize four of the basic kinds of tastes. Those four basic taste are sweet, salty, sour, and bitter. All of our tastes are different.
6. Smell- By having a sense of smell we know what things are suppose to smell like. Sometimes we don't like to use our smelling sense when things don't smell too good. Our nose allows us to enjoy the different smells the earth provides for us.

1. Kinesthesis & Vestibular
2. Touch
3. Taste
4. Smell
5. Vision

So whenever I’m thinking about the importance of the senses, I begin to imagine I have none of these. I can’t see anything, I can’t feel where I am, I cannot taste what I’m consuming, smelling what is around me, not know which direction is up or down. So I begin my quest to find out what is important by plugging only one of these variables in at a time. I start with smell and taste, which you don’t nevessarily need to live as in the world you do have people to help you know what to eat and drink (of course making sure it’s not something inedible). Then I move onto vision. Vision I feel is a commodity in a way. There’s so many blind people that don’t have sight yet live a normal life. Therefore, I rule out vision. Finally I observe (pun intended) what it would be like with and without kinesthesis & vestibular with all the other senses absent. How could you know which direction was which or where you were in the world or even how everything is oriented? Therefore, I feel like this would be the first. Then while reviewing the others, I decided that vision would be last as you won’t need it at all. Then I decided that touch would be the next important as it helps you feel pain, warmth, cold, and pressure, which could not only help avoid injury, but also give you information of what you’re touching and also where you are. Then for the third, I decided taste as it can help you tell when something is undercooked and something isn’t good for you to eat. I would’ve chosen smell except that there’s some things that you can’t smell that can be very bad for you and you won’t know what hit you. So, which this decision, I placed smell in fourth. I reviewed all of these to the personal perspective in which I believe is important for not only survival and actually being able to live functionally, but also as senses that can be used for safety concerns for your own health. Opposing beliefs are welcome and I hope others can express their own perspectives and why they believe that their order of senses are correct to help widen the horizons of our minds and learn new things.
