My Thoughts

The Romans were colonisers. And I know at least some of them were very cruel. Therefore, I’m a bit wary of the Roman Empire- But their architectural accomplishments (the aqueducts and bath houses) were quite interesting.


My Question

The Alphabet shown in the video looked nothing like Roman Script- what was it? Also, if they did take their language from that state- Etruria,- why did they call it ‘Roman’ Script?

My Thoughts

At the start it was just a small village and after a 1000 years its becomes an empire, From kings to dictators and then emperors, the governments changing time and time again, and a quote comes to my mind "change is the only constant."

After building the start of their empire, the Romans spent a lot of their time trying to take over / colonize other countries. A few of the rulers / emperors / kings such as Nero were, in the words of the video "cruel". Their architecture, art language, script, and more was adopted from other countries as well.

My Question

The Roman Empire started off as a small village and grew into one of history's greatest empires. Throughout the civilisation, there was constant change. I think the Roman's used stratergy to get to where they got. They were great thinkers. Slowly but steadily they conquered lots of places and their power grew.
