In my experience, whsn someone is opening up, generally they'll be calm and composed if they're confident. That, or he's simply an arrogant fella. In my opinion, Dr.Paul is doing his best but I think that at times you see his personal feelings come through, not to the point of it being unprofessional but it is apparent. Overall, I don’t think he’s the best but he seems to cover most of what you’d expect.

Paul never seemed angry during the session, just deflective. Which is odd considering that he’s paying for these sessions. You’d think he’d want to delve into all of his issues but might feel attacked or defensive while letting someone in. I do not believe it had something to do with Laura.

Overall from the episodes I’ve seen, I do not think he has a mental illness. I have not seen all of the episodes but I feel as though his issues seem to be a result of his upbringing and potential shame.
