1. What is Adab? Adab refers to prescribed Islamic etiquette. In a simple sentence, Adab is a GOOD MANNER.

2. Why should we practice Adab? The main reason is to seek Allah's pleasure.

   Yes, as Muslims, this is our target in this Dunya.

   Besides, we can create a harmonious environment if we practice Adab.

3. How to practice Adab?

   -give greetings like "Assalamualaikum" to whoever we see especially those who are much older than us.

   -talk with others in a good manner as to show our respect to them,

   not only to human beings, but to all Allah's creation.

   -Do not make a thing that will make others feel uncomfortable and try to make them feel love with us.

As our Naqibah said, we pretend that we are like a tree (شجرة). Why?

1. first, akar is defined as our akidah.

2. second, batang defines our ibadah.

3. third, buah defines akhlak.

   
   

   so, how do you grow the tree perfectly? By watering it right?

   same goes for us. we have to take good care of our akidah as it is a crucial thing, if we take good care of it, the other things will turn out perfectly too. How? by doing basic ibadah and if we want to be more perfect, we can do additional ibadah sunat. but, we have to istiqomah! I know it sounds quite hard to istiqomah right? As a Muslim who wants to improve ourselves in a better way that Allah S.W.T. likes, istiqomah is the crucial thing that we need to emphasize in our life.

1. Increase in immorality: More sin, such as adultery, alcohol consumption, and usury.

2. Wars and bloodshed: Major conflicts and widespread violence.

3. Rapid advancement in knowledge: Technology and discoveries grow, but people become less religious.

4. False prophets: Many will claim to be prophets, although Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the last.

Major Signs:

1. Appearance of the Dajjal: A false leader who will deceive many.

2. Return of prophet Isa alaihisalam: Prophet Isa will return to defeat the Dajjal and lead the righteous.

3. Release of Ya'juj and Ma'juj: Two large nations that will cause destruction on Earth.

4. Sun rising from the West: A major shift in nature that will signal the end is near.

means: refers to good manners, morals, and appropriate actions derived from the teachings and instructions of Islam.

Surah Maryam verses 41-45 discuss Prophet Ibrahim and his father, who was an idol worshipper. This week summarizes Ibrahim’s respectful but firm approach in guiding his father towards the worship of Allah alone.

• (19:41) Allah praises Prophet Ibrahim as a truthful and honorable person.

• (19:42) Ibrahim addresses his father, asking why he worships idols that cannot hear, see, or benefit him.

• (19:43) He tells his father that he has received divine knowledge that his father has not, urging him to follow the right path.

• (19:44) Ibrahim warns his father not to worship Satan, as Satan is a rebel against Allah.

• (19:45) He expresses concern for his father, warning that Allah’s punishment could fall upon him if he continues idol worship.

As Muslims and children, we should practice Adab with our parents, and this is the main lesson:

• Respectful Dakwah: Even when advising a close family member, Ibrahim remains kind and patient.

• Worship Only Allah: The verses emphasize Tauhid (believe Allah the only God we should worship) and warn against idol worship.

• Parental Guidance vs. Truth: Sometimes, truth must be spoken even if it goes against family traditions, but it should be done with wisdom and respect.

1. Islam (Submission to God):

Jibril asks Prophet Muhammad to define Islam.

He replies:

1) to testify that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His messenger

2) establish the prayer (Salah),

4) fast during Ramadan

5) perform the pilgrimage (Hajj) if able

2. Iman (Faith):

Jibril then asks about Iman (faith),

The Prophet explains that it involves:

1) belief in Allah

2) His angels

3) His books

4) His messengers

5) the Day of Judgment

6) Qadar (Divine decree)

3. Ihsan (Excellence in Worship):

Jibril asks about Ihsan,

Ikhsan refers to excellence in worship. The Prophet responds, Ikhsan means to worship Allah as though you see Him, and if you cannot see Him, then to know that He sees you.

This hadith is significant because it completes the essence of Islam, Iman, and Ihsan, which form the basis of a Muslim's belief and practice. It can be found in Sahih Muslim, one of the most authentic collections of hadith.

Firstly, for the entire session of usrah lead by Sr. Hawa, I am highly respect how she explain the details about the usrah and kind towards us. She also gave us gift as we were playing games about that session of usrah to know if we are totally understand what the words did she delivered. We also gained knowledges deeper in aspect of our religion. Moreover, we can reflect ourselves to be kind, and strive to get Allah’s pleasure also hoping to Allah for granting us in Jannah. Thank you so much Sr Hawa and hoping you to success in future.

Ṣalāh (صلاة), or prayer, is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and the most important form of worship after the testimony of faith (shahādah). It is a direct link between the believer and Allah and is performed five times a day at prescribed times.

What is Ṣalāh?

Ṣalāh refers to the ritual prayer that Muslims perform daily. It includes specific physical and verbal actions such as standing, bowing (rukūʿ), prostrating (sujūd), and sitting, along with the recitation of Qur’ānic verses and other supplications.

Why is Ṣalāh Important?

It is commanded in the Qur’ān, for example, “Establish prayer, for prayer restrains from indecency and wrongdoing” (Surah Al-‘Ankabūt 29:45). It also helps Muslims remember Allah throughout the day. Moreover, it purifies the soul and builds a sense of accountability. When performed in congregation, it also strengthens the sense of brotherhood.

Conditions for Ṣalāh

Before praying, certain conditions must be met:

• Purity (ṭahārah): Wudūʾ (ablution) must be performed.

• Clean clothes and place.

• Face the Qiblah (direction of the Kaʿbah in Makkah).

• Proper intention (niyyah).

Spiritual Benefits of Ṣalāh

When establish prayer, we can benefit:

• Increases taqwā (God-consciousness)

• Brings peace and comfort to the heart

• Serves as a protection from sin

• Enhances discipline and focus in life

"Amanah" (أمانة) in Islam means trustworthiness, responsibility, and fulfilling duties honestly. It applies to all aspects of life, including schoolwork (homework) and handling money.

1. Amanah with Homework (School Responsibilities)

A student who has amanah with their homework:

• Completes assignments on time, even if the teacher doesn’t check every detail.

• Does not copy from others or cheat.

• Studies sincerely, understanding that seeking knowledge is an act of worship in Islam.

• Respects the trust given by teachers and parents.

🔹 Hadith:
“Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock...” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim)
👉 This means students are responsible for their duties, including schoolwork.

2. Amanah with Money

A student who has amanah with money:

• Does not misuse or waste money given by parents.

• Returns borrowed money or items.

• Spends wisely, not extravagantly or on haram things.

• Keeps money safe if entrusted with it (e.g., collecting money for a class trip or charity).

🔹 Qur’an:
“Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due...” (Surah An-Nisāʾ 4:58)

🌙 The Virtues Found in Sawm (Fasting)

1. Increases Taqwa (God-consciousness):

Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183 that fasting is prescribed “so that you may become righteous (muttaqun).”

2. Teaches Patience and Self-Control:

Fasting trains Muslims to resist desires and stay disciplined. It teaches sabr (patience), which is a key value in Islam.

3. Builds Gratitude:

By feeling hunger, we appreciate the blessings we usually take for granted like food and water.

4. Rewards from Allah are Great:

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Every good deed of the son of Adam is for him except fasting; it is for Me, and I will reward it.” (Sahih Bukhari)

💰The Virtues Found in Zakah/Sadaqah

1. Purifies Wealth and Soul:

Zakah means “purification.” It purifies the money of the giver and their heart from greed.

2. Helps the Poor and Needy:

It strengthens the Muslim community by supporting those in need, reducing poverty.

3. Brings Barakah (blessings):

Allah promises increase in wealth and blessings for those who give sincerely (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261).

4. Encourages Generosity and Empathy:

Giving in charity reminds us to care for others and builds kindness in society.

🕋 The Virtues Found in Hajj (Pilgrimage)

1. A Pillar of Islam:

Hajj is one of the five pillars, making it a fundamental act of worship for Muslims.

2. Forgiveness of Sins:

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever performs Hajj and avoids lewdness and sin will return like a newborn – free from sins.” (Sahih Bukhari)

3. Unity of the Ummah:

Millions of Muslims from around the world gather in one place, wearing the same white clothing, showing that all are equal before Allah.

4. Spiritual Transformation:

It is a life-changing journey that increases faith, humility, and submission to Allah.

🔹 The Pillars of Fasting

There are two:

1. Niyyah, or intention – we must intend to fast before Fajr.

2. Avoiding things that break the fast, like eating, drinking, or other invalid actions.

🔹 Who Must Fast

Fasting is wajib (compulsory) if you are:

– A Muslim

– Have reached puberty

– Sane

– Healthy

– And for women, not on period or postnatal bleeding

One of the highlights of Usrah 2 was the group sharing and activities. I learned a lot from my naqibah and fellow group members, especially when we discussed real-life challenges and how to respond to them with Islamic values. It was a safe and supportive space, and I appreciated how everyone respected each other’s opinions.

This Usrah also encouraged me to reflect on my role as a Muslim in society. It reminded me that even small actions can be a form of dakwah, as long as they are done sincerely for the sake of Allah. I also learned the importance of unity, patience, and mutual care among the ummah.

In shaa Allah, I will continue to apply the lessons I’ve learned from Usrah 2 in my daily life. May Allah reward our naqibah for her guidance and all my groupmates for their kindness. Jazakumullahu khairan.
