Their were a lot of decisions to be made. Some of which were either to go down to the farm, stay in mitchell with friends, or else to go home and see family. I was able to find time by going down every other weekend. The first way I found was by helping him pull out and replace old fences. I was able to help him a lot because he gets exhausted easily and usually he has to quit early. To do this I had to use my communication skills and convincement skills so that he would be able to trust me working on their new expensive machines. This took me doing some interpersonal activities first. In helping him I learned that he feels that he is now able to keep his farm and he was planning on selling the land and all his cattle throughout next year. He told me that if he had my help or someone else's help that he would be able to keep the farm and keep going for a while. I chose to use the confirming communication method to show respect and caringness for his rhyme and reason for the way that he does things.
