·      We are going to the State Historical Museum in Moscow. In the section "Russia in the system of International relations in the second half of the 18th century" we can see a very curious picture. The painting depicts 9 men in national costumes or military uniforms. A Russian is standing on the tipped scales, pressing a Turk. Nearby a Hungarian is taking notes. A Dutchman puts purses of money on the opposite side of the scales, and a Prussian stands on the lighter side of the scales. A Pole stays away, hiding something in his pocket. An Englishman hangs on the scales, trying to tip the scale in his favor (literally). A Dane watches without interfering. A Swede balances on top of the scales. 
·      Find the painting, use  Google lens to collect as much information about this piece as possible. Make notes. Be ready to discuss the picture in the group.
·      Translate the artist's captions to each of the men from Russian into English. Leave your translations on here.
·      You have 40 minutes to find the picture, collect notes for the group discussion and to make translations.
