What kind of accountability are we going to have for our kids this year? Last semester when this all first started it didn't really feel like we could hold them accountable when the superintendent announces that students couldn't be given a failing grade
2. Phone calls: is it going to be like last semester where we are having to do all those phone calls or do we group them and assign student like last time?
3. What resources can we provide our kids for counseling? We only have one counselor that serves now close to 500 students and it wouldn't be fair to have all these counseling duties on her plus her administrative duties plus master scheduling etc....in other words how else can we support our kids
Concerns:
1. how can we expect all of our students to be online every single day where there are so many factors involved 
      -not the only student using hotspot.
      -signal is extremely unreliable as what the kids said last semester
      -district uses the words "asynchronous learning" in their plan
     -students last semester even said that they just end up staying up all night long and sleeping in all day 
2. Feeling of depression as we have mentioned in our zoom meeting. We want to make sure our kids don't feel so alone, even though even as adults we are going through some of the same feelings 
3. Parental concerns especially if they end up leaving kids alone because they HAVE TO work

·         How will the district limit teachers this time?
·         People trash talk teachers but it’s the district/state that enacts guidelines that don't help us do our jobs (all students pass regardless of effort).
·         1st foundational statements run contrary to our real life situations
·         Hard to plan when district plan may make our hard work (planning) obsolete. 

·         “Apps needed by content will be downloaded to the electronic device before being used by the students.” Does this mean that students cant download an app, as instructed by their teacher, once they get their school-assigned device?

·         It says we are supposed to have these things: 
a.       Provide campuses with electronic devices.
b.      Insight software
c.       Wireless mouse
d.      Headsets with Mics
e.       Zoom Licenses
f.        Textbooks online for High School Campuses (STC)

·         “If able to, while the employees wait for results or are in self-quarantine, the employees may be allowed to work remotely from home. While doing so, the employees will follow these guidelines:
·         Employees must check their work emails on a daily basis.”
  • (once a day minimum?)

·         Does the district have a specific definition for what asynchronous is? Because if we are given time to meet with students every day (“30 min of daily direct instruction”), it implies that they want us to do synchronous learning. 
o   What is our job during these 30 minutes?

·         “To ensure continuity of operations of essential functions, essential employees may be permitted to continue work following potential exposure to COVID-19, provided they remain asymptomatic and additional precautions are implemented to protect them and the community.”
o   Are teachers considered essential?

Will teachers be forced to use their paid leave if our internet gets shut down due to a hurricane, etc?

2. The district has been using synchronous language when referring to asynchronous learning. As of now, what does our instructional day look like?

3. Will teachers be provided spare masks to distribute to students who misplace their own?

4. If there is a campus call-center, who is responsible for attending to those needs? Is that person qualified to answer content-related questions?

5. There was a mass issue with hotspot connectivity not functioning during the summer. Has that been resolved?

6. Can teachers access WiFi on wheels if there is home internet outage?

7. Does AVID have Eduguide in the classroom? It’s not listed as a staff development resource. 

8. Is there emergency paid leave after a teacher has exhausted their own sick days?

9. Are we eligible for perfect attendance incentive this school year?

10. Were all devices handed out to seniors picked up?

11. The district reopening plan lists Zoom licenses will be provided, yet we have been trained and told to implement Google Meets.
