         <title>Defining Technology Terminology: </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Educational Psychology: Ritzhaupt et al. (2018) reports educational psychology is the study and ethical practice of learning and improving performance by creating and managing appropriate technological resources. </p><p>Instructional Design: a systematic approach to planning teaching with the goal of maximizing student learning through structured tasks. (West et al., 2017)</p><p>Instructional Technologist: According to Bardone et al. (2020), focuses on designing and providing solutions to learning and performance issues within technology-based learning environment. The main goal is to integrate technology into the classroom. </p><p>Augmented Reality (AR): helps sustain transduction relationships between multimedia, humans and the environment. ( Morey &amp; Tinnell, 2017) </p><p>Virtual Reality (VR): Researchers define as a tool that immerses users into simulated environments that replicates experiences of others. (Pinto-Coelho et al., 2023) </p><p>Gamification: is am example of creating a problem-solving environment with several tasks can be explored and enhance in a goal-oriented manner. (Craig Liebenson, 2018) </p><p>Artificial Intelligence (AI): is referred as machines that demonstrates human intelligence to perform tasks. Furthermore, it improves themself using data collected and facilitate intelligent automation. (Yau et al., 2022) </p><p><br/></p><p>I am familiar with most of the terms. However, I am not familiar with using most of the terms. I am aware of VR, gamifications and AI because it is commonly used in the school systems. As well as most game systems apply the terms. I am not familiar with AR. </p><p><br/></p><p>I am most interested in learning about all the terms and using them in future research. Learning about the tools can help develop a tool that can support education for K-12. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

Understanding how individuals learn can help researchers construct resources and interventions that can be effective for development.  There is a constant need for professional development to maintain the high level of competence expected in most adult workers.          <description><![CDATA[<p>The advantages include creating tools to ensure higher competency and insight to learners' level of development. "Rapid industry changes, increased competition, changes in the demographics of organizations create a new need for organizations to link learning." (Chuang, 2021, p. 6)  The disadvantages of adhering to the theories are instructors are not always in the center and must be flexible to unleash the learners potential. (Chuang, 2021) The variances of theories serve specific purposes and can only be applied for certain aspects of development. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In my practice I utilize behaviorism. Working with individuals with cognitive deficits can trigger behaviors that are not socially acceptable. Moreover, applying PBI (positive behavior intervention) in the classroom helps maintain classroom management. Reinforcement (reward system) helps control behaviors in social settings such as school. Behaviorism triggers change by reducing and/or eliminating social inappropriate behaviors. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Meta Spark AR studio is commonly used for social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Individuals can create their own augmented reality such as visual effects and more to produce their content and products. AR is used in the classroom to help students engage in authentic explorations of the real world. (Prodromou, 2020) Some observations cannot be seen to the common eye and students require a way to explore to learn all elements alongside real objects in a virtual manner. Moreover, it increases students motivation and helps acquire investigative skills. It creates immersive hybrid learning environments that combine the physical and digital and increases the development of critical thinking, problem solving and more.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Chapter 11 discusses MOOCs development and pros and cons to the usage for students. MOOCs (massive open online courses) were designed to support education for all populations that wanted to enhance learning. Online programs are growing vastly and they incorporate the connectivist theory to meet the needs of various learners. "MOOCs <em>are designed and used by people at particular historical moments, in specific</em></p><p><em>university and disciplinary contexts, and they can take different forms and be</em></p><p><em>used to support different pedagogical models." (</em>Stocchetti, 2020, p. 227) MOOCs were designed to revolutionize higher education to allow students to study wherever and whenever. The chapter discusses the potential negative claims towards MOOCs such as the economic and political terms. The use is beneficial however, it is costly to develop. Moreover, the political claim believes MOOCs were created for a marketing ploy for elite universities. (Stocchetti, 2020) Building is a process in which individuals develop a capacity for engaging with others and interacting with cultural objects (Stocchetti, 2020) Bildung is a pedagogical concern for the use of MOOCs. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I agree with the development of MOOCs and how they support higher education. I obtained my Master's degree using a MOOC platform and it was very beneficial. It allowed me to complete work anywhere and anytime because I was working full time during and my schedule made it difficult to participate in a traditional classroom. I agree that MOOCs does not train intellectual virtues such as open mindedness and intellectual courage and cannot offer training skills. MOOCs make working individuals obtaining an education easier and more functional. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>According to Marylee (2021) "memes tend to have memorable aspects as they are often references in conversations to convey ideas or feelings." (p.3) In society today technology has become a crutch for children. Instead of playing outside or reading a book, kids prefer to utilize technology. A child seeing a blackboard will be confused because they would not fully understand the use. It's for more than drawing. I chose this because kids are forgetting how to complete things organically and prefer using a short cut. As we continue to move forward with technology it is severely damaging the future generation because it will create a sense of dependency. If technology were disabled how will the future adapt?          <description><![CDATA[<p>Accessible inclusive learning is relatable to my current research of autism education. ASD students require more support in the classroom in areas of academics, behaviors, and social communication. In the foundation it discusses the current theories and principles that are in place to support teachers, students, and parents in education. The current foundation utilizes technology in education to assist in learning under the belief that learning is accessible for everyone. OER (open educational resources) are tools that students can access to gain information. The foundations goal is to find a way to make learning accessible to all. However, a challenge are the variance in learning can create barriers. </p><p>The future seeks to utilize the current technological components to enhance learning for all populations. OERs were designed to provide endless resources for students to access in learning. We have to understand the goals in learning and the different meanings in accessibility. "The experiences of network members, prior research, highlight a developing persons' capacity for self-advocacy plays a pivotal role in successful transition, because there is often no single consistent entity supporting them across the transition." (Ferguson et al., 2019, p. 78) </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I agree that learning needs to be more accessible for all learners. Different countries approach education differently because of government and institutional responsibilities or common models pf practice. (Ferguson et al., 2019) In other countries seeking resources to support education is considered a joke because their values are not focused on education. I agree with enhancing the current technological components to improve accessibility. Supporting the development of self-advocacy can improve an individuals skills and capacity to communicate their needs and increase confidence to make an adjustment. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I disagree that using surveys and questionnaires to evaluate the effectiveness does not provide enough evidence to support a need. These qualitative approaches can create trust and openness from teachers, students and parents because more effective tools can adjusted. How can you understand what is working versus what is not? However, are the current tools supportive of special education such as ASD. Creating a series of "cards" can represent important events for the student and their emotions are just a piece of the change associated with OER. I disagree with the approach to learning how to advance learning in the future. It does not have to come from just universities, but high schools, middle and elementary because they represent education. Using assessments and screenings with both parents and teachers can help identify what is needed. </p>]]></description>

Current theories and frameworks have knowledge of the various resources that can be applied in all social contexts and environments. </p>]]></description>
