The library has certain areas of expertise: work on those areas to complement training by other faculties so Orchid, OA, RDM. work together with different faculties to do stuff with publishers, etc. Work with them to see who has invited. Check standard training catalogue, etc. If no one else is an expert, why not hte library. Bookable workshops attended mostly by PGRs and also bespoke sessions, mostly for academic staff. Ex: How the library can help enhance your research support.

We offer things online, academic engagement librarians. Research services team. Build relationship with faculty admin.

Man at capacity and couldn't respond to the demand. Mostly done soft launches b/c can't raise expectations too high.

Always get some but never as many as signed up.

Not always get people signed up.

Back and forth with marketing team-what is impact and success.

Thing is, we need to offer this-it's up to people to use this, especially with PGRs and academics. Doing enough with putting things on and making people aware and their choice if they act on it.

Go out and promote OA and to refer things through to us.

RDM: research centre heads-the library goes along to research centre meetings, having training and then supplementary support so people can still get the information.

Run workshops

Like being embedded with grad school because they organise it, just have to turn up and deliver. Can be difficult to not have much control. Problem is manpower to fill in all the slots and offer.

Must be a way to get more people and get them engaged more.

Need to guarantee that people are there-compulsary days? Sometimes people are less engaged.

Don't think we have cracked how to get them there.

If they get the information, better than not at all.

Key to this is trying lots of approaches.
