Tom comes off as extremely rude and is cheating on his wife. On the outside Tom is bold like the color of red. The red represents the hurt other individuals feel after hearing his words. Tom is grey towards others. Since his relationships aren’t of his desire he does what he wants and doesn’t care about others. It’s where kids have so much money passed down and the houses passed down and it makes up West Egg. The people living in East Egg live a facade. New York connects all the cities and the people in each city. Everyone has their own stories and every is different. She has a very careless attitude on many things. She clearly states, “I hate careless people. That’s why I like you.” I think once ur more wealthy and have money you are self centered and in Jordan’s case I believe that is her. Jordan stated in the novel that “They’ll move out of my way”. As is people will move because she is better then them making her self centered. It is like wealthy people believe they are better than everyone else. I believe where someone lives plays a huge factor because if you live somewhere that is known for being more wealthy people living there will believe they are the better person or higher then the rest. I think Nick fits in multiple settings because he doesn’t think he’s better when living in a wealthy area and he doesn’t act above others. He lied about his upbringing except about him fighting in World War I. Since I have met he has nonstop been thinking about her. She is in love with him but she has a lot of conflict with loving Tom at one point in loving cats cute. Tom also loves Daisy and we can see this in his emotions. The comfort of him having an affair with myrtle shows him being on loyal. I would say he doesn’t love anyone but he cares for others characters like Daisy he cares for her well-being throughout the novel. Daisy loves Gatsby but not enough to leave time. She’s in love with what possibilities that could’ve happened between her and Gatsby. It was a life she had always idolized but she doesn’t realize is that time does not love her enough to respect her and be loyal to her. When you look closer in dive into the cover you see very interesting things that are in the story itself. The two eyes amongst the navy blue sky is the first thing a reader sees. We also see lights that look extravagant which seems like one of Gatsby‘s house parties. Some did and some did not throughout the book but what was interesting was how important money could be and how greedy everyone could be. The importance of money makes me believe it was part of the American dream and that is survival of the fittest and no matter what it takes you have to become rich. I also believe part of the American dream that everyone wanted to accomplish was connections. The book was called the tortoise and the hare because while the hair tried to cheat his way through the race the tortoise takes his time and ends up achieving the goal.
