         <title>Professional &quot;Take Away&quot; on Compassion Fatigue, Secondary Trauma, and Burnout</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The information that resonated with me the most was about understanding and identifying the warning signs of burnout, compassion fatigue, and depression. As I was reading this paragraph, I noticed that I feel some of these symptoms. That kind of worries me a little bit because of the fact that I just started my position as elementary school counselor, but I already feel like I have been run ragged. Of course a lot of it has to do with new administration and helping our teachers deal with struggles within our campus, student relationships, and helping them deal with their own burnout. It makes me think about this picture and I feel like this symbolizes how I feel right now. I'm possibly experiencing secondary trauma after listening to everyone's problem and its effecting me at work. So partaking in self care rituals is so important for me, but it is difficult with also having to complete assignments outside of my normal job. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In any profession that deals with mental health and wellness, daily or weekly self care is extremely crucial to help combat depression, fatigue, and secondary trauma. If we focus on helping others more than we already do, we forget about helping ourselves. If we don't execute self care strategies that make us happy, we will live in a revolving door of fixing everyone's problems instead of healing our own. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Personal Self-Care Strategies</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Self-care strategies that work best for me are being around my family, watching a movie from my childhood (Sleepover, Cinderella Story, Bug's Life), listening to Brittany Broski podcasts, and going on walks. This rituals really help me feel rejuvenated and calm.  </p>]]></description>
