The Aztecs were an amazing society that survived in their environment while they thrived and lived with great agriculture, food sources, art, government, beliefs, and much more that made the Aztecs the greatest civilization.

The Aztecs settled in the Valley of Mexico, in a position where they're surrounded by lakes filled with fish and potable water. It was an area where people could survive and build civilizations. The Aztecs were aware of how fortunate they were to be around a variety of natural resources.

The Aztecs believed in many gods. They mostly worshipped one God. They worshiped Huitzilopochtli. Huitzilopochtli, was the god of sun and war.

Government:

The Aztecs had a monarchy government. Their government basically means that they have a Emperor as their ruler. The Emperor is the one that would make the decisions. Their ruler was called Huey Tlatoani. Tlatoani served most of his life as the ruler of the Aztecs.

In conclusion, the Aztecs were by far one of the greatest civilizations to ever emerge in the 13th century. They were highly intuitive with an advanced technology, powerful government, unique culture, and a fruitful agriculture.

Now we've given enough evidence in this slide about why the Aztecs were an incredibly superior civilization, but I would like to take this time to compare other civilizations to the Aztecs. Egypt was a very powerful empire in it's time, but they're not without their flaws. They had a constant growing population, little water, and food resources. The Sumer Civilization wasn't all that powerful either. They constantly faced attacks, and they had no way to transport goods. The Harappa empire expanded greatly, but they couldn't find a way to stand against climate change which eventually led to their downfall. The Inca civilization was powerful, but they were vulnerable to the spread of diseases. They didn't have the materials necessary to defend against sickness. Finally the Aztecs also had their own set up problems, but they were able to overcome it. The Aztec's problems included geographical problems, so they created bridges and motes to stop flooding, and to make traveling easier.
