Brexit is currently the main economic factor that could affect sourcing within the UK. It has decreased the value of the pound meaning we are getting less for the same amount of money, compared to previous years. This could mean that we wouldn't be getting as good of a deal with regards to sourcing as we used to.

This means that brands now have to ensure that their sourcing process is ethical. A technological factor that benefits the UK is that we have advanced technology and machinery. This allows us to produce well made garments in high quantities. Providing the UK with great sourcing abilities as well being able to possibly compete with other sourcing locations. 

A legal factor affecting sourcing in the UK would be laws made to keep factories safe and a fair place to work. These laws ensure that factories are treating staff fairly, paying them fairly and keeping them safe whilst in the workplace. This will mean factories have to have a clear health and safety plan in order, in their factories as well as paying all staff members at least minimum wage.

An environmental factor affecting the UK with regards to sourcing could be global warming. Factories are known to produce lots of harmful pollutions into the atmosphere. Transportation vehicles used to distribute goods also release harmful pollution. Factories and distribution companies should focus and plan on ways to reduce their environmental damage.
