I feel like when re-read and re-working while writing I am able to write more cohesively. However, the points brought up in by other people in class about this making people freeze up is also true. I think it's important to free write without doing this, and then edit (maybe) after each paragraph or page. So like a healthy mix of free and recursive writing.

How is a student supposed to prove that they actually did write something? Especially with AI where there is no trace left to accurately prove guilt. It is only based off of teacher suspicion which could become very dangerous. Also the idea of using AI to detect AI feels like a dangerous road to travel as it will only become both sides trying to out evolve the other.

Many different students need many different things and often come into school at different levels from their peers so it seems to pose the issue of how to grade? I think that students should be graded based on a progression that starts with checks for understanding and develops to a final draft over the course of a certain period of time. I want to grade primarily based on what I am looking for for the prompt, and an eventual all-encompassing grade from a final product (combined based on quality and effort).
