         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The Trail of Tears.</strong><br>&nbsp; &nbsp; The government said that the Indians could keep there land, but Andrew Jackson wanted to move them to avoid conflict. He ended up using military force to get the Indians to move to specially set aside land far away from where they originally were.<br><strong>Worcester V.S. Georgia</strong><br>&nbsp; &nbsp;Georgia required by law to have a license and sworn state loyalty to travel into the Cherokee lands. Samuel Worcester refused to do this, and he got arrested. He got taken to the Supreme Court and used Article 1, Section 8&nbsp; (Only Congress has the power to regulate commerce with the Indian tribes.) Worcester was let go and the Chief Justice John Marshall said that Georgia had violated the Constitution.&nbsp;<br><strong>Indian Removal Act</strong><br>&nbsp; &nbsp; The Indian Removal Act was an act passed by Andrew Jackson that gave him the ability to remove any Indians in the territory with military force.</div>]]></description>
