A GIANT OUTDOOR PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
The Outdoor Perfoming Arts Center @ Lincoln Center
As part of the much-discussed New York Arts Revival project, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts just announced its plans to create a giant outdoor performing arts center that will include ten different performance and rehearsal spaces.

Dubbed Restart Stages, the effort was crafted with the help of medical and public health professionals, ensuring that all staff, future audiences and artists will be protected by COVID-19-related safety protocols. OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

STEP INTO VAN GOGH'S PAINTINGS
2021 is shaping up to be the Summer of Van Gogh (but in a fun way) with not just one, but two separate immersive Van Gogh experiences coming to the city. In addition to Immersive Van Gogh, tickets are also currently on sale for Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience. (If you’re reading this, invest in a sunflower farm stat!)

The upcoming experience fills a 20,000-square-foot space with mesmerizing lights, captivating music and, of course, detailed projections of the works of one of the world’s most famous artists that completely surround you as if a witch has trapped you in a painting.

Van Gogh - The immersive Experience  is set to open (at a still to be announced location) in NYC this June.

COMING 2 AMERICA - QUEENS, NY
New York City's drive-ins are still going strong — The Queens Drive-In at NYC’s iconic Flushing Meadows Corona Park (a project by Rooftop Films, Museum of the Moving Image, and the New York Hall of Science) is back for its spring season, from March to June this year.

This Friday, March 5  there will be a special screening of Amazon’s highly anticipated Coming 2 America, which will be co-presented by Queens Borough President Donovan Richards. The event is free and open to the public with RSVP. Attendees will receive free food and merchandise courtesy of Amazon Studios.

FIRST LOOK - UNIVERSAL HIP HOP MUSEUM - BRONX, NY
With just two years to go until it opens in the South Bronx, the Universal Hip Hop Museum is launching its $100 million capital campaign to raise funds for its interiors this week. 

This past Wednesday, the museum, which currently operates out of Bronx Terminal Market, took the public on a 3D virtual tour of the new museum and were able to hear from radio host Barbara “Roxie” Delaleu, UHHM's founder and executive director Rocky Bucano, Civil Rights icon Dr. Benjamin Chavis, DJ Spark of iHeart Radio, and Chair of the Capital Campaign and UHHM Chief Strategist Michael Blake about why and how to donate to the cause.
