Since many juniors and seniors do a lot of work from home due to their schedules it's important to know how to manage your time at home, and get work done instead of procrastinating. I only stay home on Fridays because I don't have any classes then, and I find it extremely hard to stay focused. This video gave some good tips for focusing on work at home. Setting a strong intention for work can help you complete it, you should do the hard work first so that it feels less stressful once you finished it. Otherwise you will be rushing it in last minute. Creating to do list will help you keep track of what you need to get done and make working at home feel a lot more organized. Since your at home there are going to be a lot of distractions, so you should limit them to the best of your ability.

Doing schoolwork online can be difficult because it is hard to focus on the work while having access to other sites like youtube for example. This video goes through tips on how to stop wasting time online while you are working. One useful tip this videos gives is blocking access to distracting websites using site blockers so that you can not access the website for a certain amount of time, or until you have finished your work/reached your goal for the day. Another tip was to create a work account on your computer when you are working so that you cannot open other applications while working like steam, epic games, etc that may distract you from work. The video also mentions using the Pomodoro method while working which I suggest as well especially when doing bigger projects that cost all of your attention. Defining a specific task and doing said task at a specific time can be a big motivator if you are lacking the motivation to do work.

Tips on Attending Online Classes

All of the classes that I am taking are technically hybrid classes (except for 1) so I do a lot of work said classes on my computer outside of class. This video gives 5 tips on taking classes online. You should treat online classes like they are in person and do them at a normal class time. Creating a schedule can help you stay on track in these classes so that you are less likely to fall behind. Adding new events to your to-do list and calendar the second you get them will help you remember them. You should also get digitally organized, you can do this by creating folders and sorting through material that you do and don't need online. Breaking up your day will give you a chance to have a break and refresh yourself before getting to work on your next assignment. The final tip he gives is getting a virtual study group, this is important because you will have a chance to connect more with your fellow classmates and also you can ask your peers questions when if you need help with classwork. I liked this advice because it tells you the basics of getting started with online classes and how you can stay productive while attending online classes.
